While being proficient to problem solving skills, I understood how to identify and explore other opportunities to solve challenging tasks to achieve academic success. My personal development skills include setting high educational standards for myself, like obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, to achieve a great career in order to provide

When I decided to become an engineer, I thought hard on what that entailed. I saw myself working on hands on projects with a skill and proficiency that I could truly be proud of. That's why after listening to the presentation for Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology in my freshman year here at Texas A&M I knew that this major was the best fit for me. The mentioning of learning how to manufacture and produce things from conception to finished product was very exciting to me. I also appreciate that the education is very application oriented rather than just teaching theoretical content. I feel that this directly prepares one for a future career in industry and this sense of job security is what really attracted me to this engineering

Hello, I am Kelly Conley and I have recently enrolled at Boise State University (BSU) as a sophomore. My goal at BSU is to earn a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on history and graduate by 2018. I have recently retired from the United States Air Force (USAF) after 24 years of service. My hobbies include white water rafting, gardening, and spending time with my wife of 16 years, Heather.
At this point in my college career, I have reached the limit as to what the Miami-Dade Honors College can offer me. So far I have pursued an Associate in Arts degree in Biology and am looking forward to the next step in my education. My experiences here have allowed me to grow heavily both as a student and an individual, but I am limited in the amount of resources currently available to me. For example, I do not have the variety of courses and study abroad opportunities that four-year college students have. Hence, I have taken all the science and math courses towards my associates degree at Miami-Dade College, but I am left to explore other options to continue to advance my preparation for a career in the science field. This is because I have
Education is a very important aspect to many people. For me, getting a well-rounded education will help me reach my lifetime goal of being happy and bringing that happiness to people by helping them. The spark of motivation came in a very unusual way. It happened when taking the mandatory Chemistry class sophomore year of high school. This class was interesting and eye-opening to me because it provided a different look on life. I knew after completing the class that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical and science field. Texas A&M University is my top choice school because I know that attending this school will give me the best education and it will also help me reach my goals in the future.
The Purdue Honors College is an excellent program which would add many great new opportunities to my education. I have always enjoyed a challenge in my education, and the community and resources available would only help to further support this. Primarily, the learning community to which I would be exposed would create an enhanced academic environment, as I would live in the Honors Residence and take Honors courses with a diverse group of individuals who share my passion for learning. Furthermore, being a part of this dedicated community would expose me to a wide range of beliefs and ideas coming from a highly motivated group of individuals and therefore would allow me to further grow as a person.
As I was growing up, James Madison University has been a college that I always planned on attending. On road trips, I would always get excited as we would pass through Harrisonburg. For some reason, though, I decided not to attend. This year I have realized that my heart truly does belong at James Madison University. The school is beautiful and it is perfect for my career path. My dream is to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and after further research, I feel like James Madison is the perfect place to fulfill that dream. Thinking about the possibility of attending James Madison University next year gives me a feeling of contentment that I have not felt in a long time. I have been researching James Madison a lot recently, and I am very
The reason I came to Campbell University is simple, after my Military career I remained in Fayetteville, NC. I managed to get a decent job at the hospital there and work full-time in the Emergency room for the last year. During this time I was to figure out what I wanted in life and that was to get into the healthcare industry. Even though Campbell isn't my first University I attended, its been a while since I was last in school, having served in the Military for the last five years. After applying to the Exercise and Sport Science program at Campbell University, I began to look at what I needed to do in order to fulfil my goals in life. After I complete my Bachelors, I plan on getting accepted into Campbell Universities, Physician Assistant Masters Program.
From growing up, I have always been curious. It is in my nature to know everything about something that seems to catch my attention. By expanding my knowledge, my perspective will change profoundly, by far I have learned enormously from the world around me. Being a freshman at Florida Memorial University, learning more about the history of the school will give me a better understanding of where the school derives from. I will also be able to comprehend the message and purpose of the school for the community by learning from the source. Visiting this historical site will expanding my mind on how the structure of the schools in the past years and learn more about how it function from the past. As a young black African-American learning more about my heritage will benefit me and others and my life because with my knowledge I will be able to teach, and give some fun facts about The African-American culture.
The Church Educational School that I'd be grateful and fortunate to attend would be Brigham Young University, Provo. As I went into high school, Byu Provo was the first university I heard of that caught my attention instantly after hearing my professors talking about it. One of the important reasons why I want to have the chance to attend this university is because of the ability to go on a mission and look forward into knowing I will have an education waiting for me to come back home too. Over the years, I also realized that Brigham Young University offered a lot more than just waiting for me when I came back from my mission. Provo gives me a variety of choices of majors to choose from. It provides me with a lot more options to be curious
I believe my greatest accomplishment to date has definitely been being accepted into my number one school, Tuskegee University, despite my fears that I would be rejected based on my nontraditional schooling background. It had been a dream of mine since I visited the campus when I was little, a dream that only became stronger as I heard stories about the school from my parents. I had been confident that I would be accepted, but as I grew older and begun to compare my schooling to that of my peers - who attended public school - I began to think that such a dream would not come to fruition. Yes, I could proudly say that I had taken several college courses and I had documents ready to prove that I had learned something if requested, but that didn’t
