Statement of Purpose
A good Statement of Purpose is a combination of thoughts and reasons, and with this belief, I choose to be candid and sincerely honest of who I am and what I plan to become. I have always believed that I have a desire for Medical Management. The way a business enterprise is managed, its specific and practical details have been a source of eternal fascination for me to manage the hospital organization. I have had a strong entrepreneurial streak in me. I have worked as a nursing staff nurse in medical and critical care department and also a team member and team leader in patient welfare and various organizations for management. Hence, with all these traits in me I now plan to apply for Post Graduation Diploma program in Advanced Healthcare Leadership from Lambton College, Toronto.
Science and Management together as a subject have always fascinated me, right from the school days. This urge to understand both the streams, helped me develop a logical thinking and reasoning abilities, and ultimately a strong liking and a profound ground for Biology & Hospital Management. Opting for science with biology was the natural demand of my inclination towards Medical field. I proved the rightness of my choice when I secured 73% in Standard XII with 1st division.

I can recollect many childhood incidents, when my parents have advised me that it will take factors such as, knowledge and perseverance to fulfill this dream of becoming a Healthcare Administrator. Being driven by this, I decided to continue my education at New England College, where I have graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.92 Cumulative Grade Point average in Business Administration. I developed strong leadership and managerial skills through being a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. Being a member of this honors society has taught me skills such as strategic thinking and teamwork. These skills and technology will be used to determine managerial effectiveness.
By obtaining a degree in Healthcare Management I will develop a set of skills that will increase my knowledge in healthcare overall and contribute to the growth of Bioscrip in meeting its goals. To name a few of these skills I will possess is management , finance, accounting, healthcare systems in being able to incorporate document management procedures and techniques, as well as risk management. These skills will be applied in areas of Bioscrip such as Intake, Reimbursement and Finance.
It has been a goal of mine to help Conestoga High School in becoming a better place since the first day I started here. When I first came to the U.S and started to purse a college degree at the University of Iowa, I tried a variety of courses, including chemistry, biology, art, and so forth, and most courses did not elicit strong interests in me but lowered my overall GPA a great deal, until I took a course Motivational Interviewing in which the Professor inspired me in learning how to motivate and pursue clients to resolve ambivalence. I was immediately drawn by the study of persuasion and mental health counseling. After the course, I decided to keep exploring my interests in this field and I was informed that the best major for me would be psychology which later became life-time career goal!

From the very beginning of my student life, I loved biology. When I was in my lower secondary school, I still remember that day when my science teacher told me the story of microbes and the day after showed and taught applications of microscope, my interest in microbiology started to take its shape. I became even intensely interested when he told us that bacteria and virus are invisible to your naked eyes, however they can cause you disease and some might kill you. After the completion of my high school as a science major student, my parents wanted me to join medical school and become a doctor. But I had already encrypted curiosity of microbiology inside my mind. So, I began my journey into the world of microbiology. I secretly joined microbiology without telling my parents and told them that I am not shortlisted in MBBS exam.
