Because the Great Depression was nearing its final months and the threat of becoming involved in the European war continuously intensified, it was decided that substantial amounts of energy, along with an ascending budget, was to be focused on developing military boats that could haul soldiers from ships to open beaches. Early 1960s was the time when A&R man (who was responsible for arranging and coordinating all the professionals such as singers, musicians, audio technicians and instrumentation) started getting replaced by record producer. Due to the increase in control of record companies and decrease in the authority of musicians as record producer became more important than the singer in the recording process. I believe that I am a good candidate for the Amy L. McKee-Everett Memorial Scholarship due to my caring and loving nature. An excellent example would be the time I gave back to Flat Rock River YMCA Camp this year, during New Years Eve. I volunteered as a counselor to a group of amazing girls. I wanted to volunteer my time, seeing that Flat Rock had done so much for me, in my seven years as a camper. It was time to give back. The 53 hours of time I spent helping out with all the girls, was immensely rewarding. I wouldn't trade my experiences I have had with Flat Rock River YMCA Camp for the world. This experience made me a better person, and will carry over into my undergraduate years of college. I am going into my freshman year bearing skills

Brian went through many struggles while trying the best he could to survive in the harsh environment. Some of the biggest events in this story include when he is attacked by a bear, during the major storms and some of his questionable encounters with the wolves. If I were telling a friend about the entire story in two minutes I would say, Brian’s parents were divorced, leading him to visit his father for the first time in a long time.
