The spider my partner and I found was a grass spider, that was a yellowish/brown color with two white stripes and one black stripe on it’s back. The scientific name for spiders is araneae. We found that spiders only eat living things, and often they eat other spiders. Some of the things they eat include insects, small lizards, frogs and birds. Animals that eat spiders include frogs, toads, and birds. Spider capture their food by trapping it in webs.
Spiders can not be found in extremely cold areas, they prefer warmer areas. The habitat for them varies, because of how diversified they are. Some of the places they live are on trees, plants, grass, and basically anywhere else on land. Some spiders live on the land on the edges of ponds and lakes,
One day, Jürgen Otto was walking in a forest and nearly stepped on a spider. The spider quickly jumped away and Jürgen had never seen a spider that looked like the spider Jürgen had almost stepped on. He looked on the Internet and in books but only found one picture in a book made in the 1970s. He had discovered the new species called the Peacock Spider. “Peacock Spiders are only about 3 millimeters long and are found only in Australia” (Jürgen Otto, 2005). Jürgen now spends over 40 hours a week studying these spiders Jürgen has found and learned to love Peacock Spiders and document their actions and interests. Jürgen has found over 10 new species of spiders for scientists.
the jumping spiders have a similar skin color to the ants, this specific spider was born in the ant
According to Wikipedia, spider monkeys tend to live in medium sized groups of around two or three dozen individuals called troops, averaging at about 15 to 25 individuals in a group. The group will break up into smaller bands on occasion, like to split up to forage for food resources or if there are not enough resources to support the entire group to increase their chances of survival. They are typically found in large, unoccupied areas in the upper layer of the rainforests of Central and South America but can also be found in Mexico. They are primarily arboreal, meaning the spend most of their time swinging from trees, using their prehensile tails to move around. They use their tail as a fifth hand using it to help them
The results of the observation of biodiversity on Mississippi State University campus was the wooded area contained eight different species, the water’s edge contained twelve different species, and the manicured lawn contained four different species. The eight different species in the wooded area are brown spider, black bird, pillbug, big red ant with black head, sparrow, earthworm, red-headed woodpecker, and bigger brown spider. The brown spider had a total of one species with a relative abundance of 0.0526. The black bird had a total of one species with a relative abundance of 0.0526. The pillbug had a total of three species with a relative abundance of 0.1579. The big red ant with black head had a total of five species with a relative
The "Black Widow" spider has been captured as part of the Natural life Museum’s ongoing Spider Survey. The spider has been found for the first time in the California. The live, poisonous, dark spider is presently put on show for public in the Museum’s Insect display section. Jim Brown, associate custodian of Natural life Museum, stated, The Black Widow has not been seen before in the California. “Most likely this spider has originated in South Africa, but has been instigated into the tropical areas across the world,” he said. As per Jim, one of the many ways the Black Widow spider might have arrived in California through commercial imports of various things like plants, food or furniture. The Black Widow is so uncommon to the California that
Numerous years ago, two men would leave their village for one reason and one reason only. That reason was to meet in the dense forest west of their villages and race from the west end of it, to the east end of it. Now these men weren’t slow like other people are today. These men would run as fast as the wind in a hurricane. Even after their demise, the men will still race each other in spirit in every forest around the world today. Come relive their races today and ride the Rival Runners.
The article that supports being more child appropriate is “A Spider’s Silky Strength”, by Emily Sohn. The article tells scientific fact in a story tone that makes it easier for a kid to understand. For instance, the “Chinese’s princess discovered” the spider silk, while drinking tea under a mulberry tree. I feel that is a great way to write a sentence to keep it simple and interesting for a younger reader. There is some language that is written that would be hard for a kindergarten to understand, but I think they would be able to learn from this article that Emily wrote. Emily does give simple sentences such as “spiders can spin many kinds of silk”, and are sometimes have different strengths. That illustration makes it interesting for a child,
It is a well known fact that millions of people suffer from accidents that leave them paralyzed for life. When stuck in a wheelchair forever, life can look very bleak. However, there is hope for these victims. Although it is controversial, stem cells offer the answer to not only broken spinal cords but to many other injuries.
Mythology explains spiders through the store of Athena and Arachne. In her younger years, Athena was never kind to women. She once challenged Arachne to a weaving contest to show that she is better than her and others. Athena was impressed of Arachne but was jealous. In turn, Athena turned her into a spider so they she would weave forever. Today, spiders are arachnids after Arachne the spider.
Black widows are ruthless and deadly,so deadly that there hasn’t been ever one black widow spider bite fatality in the U.S. in ten years! I was actually one of the people that got bit by a spider, and I thought I was going to die, and in that moment, I wished I had time to say I love you to all my family members because I actually thought that it was going to be last time talking to them my cousin’s my family, and the only reason why I thought this way is just by judging on how I was at that time I was throwing up,crying, and the thing that I only remember that the doctor ever said was “we can't find his veins!” at that point I kind of lost hope at that point, but when I woke up from a very deep sleep all I see is my family and my cousin sitting
The following pages focus on analyzing the development of the Blue Spider Project at Parks Corporation. The Introduction presents some of the most important factors that determine the success of projects, and that will be used in this analysis. The paper continues with the presentation of the steps of the Blue Spider Project in order to determine how and why the project was planned as presented. The problems identified in the case of the Blue Spider Project are also discussed. The major issues that influenced the development of the project are analyzed in this section in order to determine how the project was significantly influenced by them and what effects they determined. There is also a Recommendations section. The Conclusions section presents some of the most important issues addressed by this paper.
1. Discuss the project management organization on the project. Strengths? Weaknessess? Recommendations. Parks Corporation used a matrix project management organization on the Blue Spider Project. It was a multi-disciplinary team where the members came from different functional units such as Research and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Finance. Gary Anderson, the Project Manager, was responsible for the project but his responsibility for performance of the individual phases of the work to be accomplished on the project remained with the functional managers. Anderson assigned, monitored, and coordinated work among the project team. But, the functional managers had
So, they live in Europe, North and South America, and a lot of other places. They live where there is moisture, oxygen, and places that are not too hot. They need moisture but not too much because they will die. As well as getting too hot, they will die because their skin will dry. Their skin has hair like bristles that help them move through the dirt better.
6. Is it true when you enter project management, you either go up the organization or out the door?
Answer: It should been done after project. The reason is normally managers got the data after R&D projects before they make the decision of profit. The profit was not certain before and during R&D projects.
