Smartphones are one of the latest technologies of science and electronics. A smartphone works with an advanced operating system and is equipped with certain features. Smartphones look like other simple phones, but they must satisfy a certain criteria in order to qualify for the status of ‘smartphone’. A smartphone includes a media player, personal digital assistant, and GPS navigation unit, which can make your life easier. Smartphones must also have a touch screen interface and should be compatible with certain 3-D apps. It is all because of its features that people who are left behind are using it in such large numbers. That is also a good example which shows the big influence of smartphones in different age-groups and generations. Smartphones are so attractive that many people seem to be addicted to this technology, and there are some medical problems which can arise because of its use. 'Text Claw ' is a non – medical term used for those inflammations in user’s tendons because of overuse of a smartphone. ‘Cell Phone Elbow’ is the name of tingling in the pinky fingers if the elbow is bent for long periods of time. Similarly, slouching while using a smartphone creates back and neck muscle problems for the users. Those classes of people who experienced back pain mainly consisted of those users who were hunched over while using their smartphones, tablets and computers. 'Phantom Vibrations’ are fake vibrations which are experienced by the cell phone user when their phone isn 't actually vibrating. The students who were more concerned with the text messages and social media updates seem to be constantly worried about their phones and were more prone to this problem when their phones were not even in use (Gill et al. 105). This anxiousness disturbed the students and they were unable to focus on their studies even during the most interesting lectures.
