A lot of people suffer from skin disorders because we have not been exposed to true and valuable info as to what our skin really needs. This is to think that our skin is the largest organ in our body and yet we neglect it more than any other organ. We have blamed several things why we suffer certain skin conditions, especially Acne but nobody has really told us that there is such a thing as PH level. And that it is one of a major culprit! When I first stumble upon the PH level in skincare, I was kind of hesitant and felt that its more of as science rather than skincare. I mean, how could you think of a PH level? When a skin has the correct Ph level, it can repair and heals itself optimally. It seals in moisture too. Typically, when pH Level is not on the right balance, skin becomes susceptible to microorganisms (such as bacteria), harsh chemicals, and pollutants. Acne causing Propionibacterium acnes bacteria grow when the pH of the skin is more alkaline. Water escapes from skin faster too.

Oily and Acne prone skin are normally in the extremely lower pH(Acidic) while dry skin has a higher pH. Acne, Eczema, psoriasis, Rosacea and other skin problems become more severe when the skin's pH becomes more alkaline. Drier skin is sensitive, prone to sunburn and causes early wrinkles The importance of Ph Level not only refers to facial and/or body skin but also includes hair which has almost similar natural PH level as our skin.

Interestingly, it is quite noting that while our Skin's PH level is slightly acidic, our body's internal Ph is slightly basic (alkaline). Our blood is slightly alkaline, between 7.35 and 7.45 so that cells can function well.
