In 1831 an indian child was born, of the Sioux Nation and the Hunkpapa Tribe. His father, Sitting Bull, and mother, Her-holy-door, did not name him Sitting Bull, he was named Jumping Badger. He was never called Jumping Badger, he was called Slow because of his willful and deliberate ways.
When Slow was fourteen he insisted on going along with the adult warriors into battle. Usually the untrained youths were errand boys while learning about battle conditions. Slow, screaming a war cry, jumped into the battle when he saw a Crow splitting away from the main battle and knocked him from his horse, earning his first coup. He was married to Snow-on-Her and Red Woman at the same time. The two women were very jealous of each other and fought all the time. Life was not pleasant in that tipi. Sitting Bull eventually threw Snow-on-Her out of the tipi. After Red Woman died, Sitting Bull allowed his sister to move in with him and adopted her older son. Still needing a wife Sitting Bull offered some of his best horses to Gray Eagle for his sister Four Robes. Four Robes wanted her sister, Seen-by-the-Nation and her two sons, to live with her. Sitting Bull agreed and also adopted these two boys. He also agreed to marry Seen-by-the-Nation. He again had two wives.
Sitting Bull and his wives lived in Tipis which were conical dwellings made of buffalo skins stretched over a framework of lodge poles. They stood with other tipis of the band near rivers or creeks. In cold weather a fire burned in the center of the tipi where cooking took place. In nice weather the fire was built outside. The women of the tipi were in charge of cooking, cleaning, and raising the children. She was in charge of the girls until they married and the boys until their voices changed. The women were not considered beneath the men. They each had jobs to do. In fact, the mother ran the tipi affairs, after all she owned the lodge and all the family belongings, not the husband.

Sitting Bull and Truganini were both native Indigenous and they were extremely strong mentally and physically. There are some similarities between these two as well as many differences between them. Some of the similarities between Sitting Bull and Truganini are that they are both Indigenous people who's country was invaded by European settlers.

Black Kettle is traditional because peace is the traditional Cheyenne culture and most other Cheyenne chiefs fight and that is why Black Kettle is traditional. He was born in 1802 in the Black Hills of present day South Dakota. Black Kettle is famous for being a peacemaker, the tribal chief of the Southern Cheyenne, and Chief of the Council of Forty-four.

The American Bullfrog, widely known and publicized as an invasive species to the Northwest. Causing people to rampage, even in my own research I stumbled upon multiple pages, encouraging people to eat them with headlines like “Want to help control invasive species? Eat a bullfrog.” This bullfrog has definitely faced the front of the force against invasive species because of how much it drastically changed the ecosystem in the Northwest. The survivors came to the decision that they should to migrate elsewhere. At the time Sitting Bull was murdered, there were not many horses at Standing Rock. Children were the only ones on horse, while the adults walked. They traveled to the Cheyenne River Reservation, which was led a man named Big Foot. Big Foot had once been a firm believer in the Ghost Dance, but after discovering what happened at Standing Rock, he no longer had faith in it. He took the leaderless people under his wing, offering them shelter. After hearing the story of Sitting Bull’s death from the Lakota themselves, Big Foot made a decision. They needed to reconcile. The Lakota, now led by Big Foot, made a journey to Pine Ridge, in an set on righting their wrongs. However
Sitting Bull was great leader and a great warrior. He was recognized for many things including the Battle of Little Big Horn and the leader of Strong Hearts, He was the Sash Wearer. He spent much of his life taking care of his tribe and all Native Americans. Sitting Bull is the greatest Sioux chief and one of the greatest Native American chiefs ever.
Bullfighting is another major event and part of the Spanish culture. A bullfight “la corrida'; is an extremely tens drama divided into three parts. First, a special parade honoring the fighters goes through town. Then, the bull enters the ring and the bullfighter “matador'; tests the bull for intelligence with cape passes. The fighters use daggers called picadors to weaken the bull. The second act is to enrage the bull by stabbing its shoulders with darts. Finally the last act the bullfighter duels with the bull and one of them wins (Juriz and Harlington 30). When the bull dies the moment is called “la hora de la verdad- the moment of the truth'; (Qtd. in Spain revised 30). The bullfighting season lasts from March to October and bullfights are performed on Sundays. A major drawback to the bullfighting fans is the price of the seats. Seats are divided into three sections. The “sombra'; shade seating places the viewer in the shade. The “sol'; full sun seats place the viewer in direct sunlight, and the “sonta'; seats place the viewer in partial sun (Dell 38). Lastly, an opposition group has formed called the Beloved Bulls. Bullfighting is an art, and the ´´torero´´ (the person that outmaneuver and eventually kills the bull) is considered to be the artist. Continuing with the same principle, the fans are the judges who, based on the artistic performance of the ´´torero´´, decide whether it was a good corrida (name of the bullfighting spectacle) or not.
