Even though Dove is an amazing character, we are not identical, and have many differences. Dove and I both like sleeping in, but I do not get mad at people for waking me up.

Johnny Tremain, an orphan is apprenticed to silversmith Emphraim Lapham. When we meet Johnny, his entire identity is wrapped up in being a fantastic silversmith. He's career driven since he is only an apprentice, but he's running his master's shop. Johnny's natural arrogance will always be his downfall, but he slowly learns to control it, along with his naturally quick temper. From believing that he knows it all, he comes to realize how much he doesn't know, through his journey through Boston’s Sons of Liberty.

The events up to and during the Revolution happened because the colonies were trying to break away from the British and become free and independent. Esther Forbes used many examples to show that not unlike real people, Johnny had courage, yet fear, affection, but also hate, and he made mistakes with the things that he said.
