If the country stopped relying on fossil fuels and switch to solar energy it would be beneficial for multiple reasons; it would save society billions or trillions of dollars. Even long before society’s very existence is threatened by global warming, global warming is projected to cost society trillions of dollars if pollution continues. Fighting global warming with solar power will likely save society billions or even trillions of dollars. Solar power also provides free energy. No one can buy the sun or turn sunlight into a monopoly or go and buy the sun. Combined with the simplicity of solar panels, this also provides a solar power advantage of energy security, something the United States military has pointed out for years. A major reason why is that a lot of money is being put into the development and installation of solar panel systems. Solar power can also create jobs. As a huge source of energy, solar power is a job-creating powerhouse. Solar energy and its use isn’t new to the world. It has been used by various societies beginning from 7thCentury B.C, when the sun’s heat was concentrated by glass and mirrors to light fires. Today, we have everything from solar-powered buildings to solar-powered vehicles. Slowly but surely our planet is deteriorating, unless we change our form of energy into a greener alternative. Deterioration of our planet may occur at a faster rate. The depletion of fossil fuels is detrimental to our environment. By substituting fossil fuels with the solar energy, our planet will benefit. These benefits include: reduced climate change, beneficial economic opportunities on both a large scale benefitting our government and on a smaller scale helping individuals decrease their energy bills, and solar energy is renewable and sustainable.

Solar energy is the most plentiful and purist renewable energy source available. Because it is completely natural, it is considered to be a clean energy source. It does not disrupt the environment or threaten the Eco-systems the way oil and some other energy sources tend to. Nor does it cause greenhouse gases, air or water pollution. Solar energy is an immensely important aspect of life and has been since the beginning of time. Increasingly, we are learning how to harness this important resource and use it to replace traditional energy sources. Modern technology can utilize this energy in a variety of ways, such as; generating electricity, providing light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, industrial, or commercial use. One day solar energy may well become our primary form of energy. This would lead to a clean environment, less money spent on utilities, and a healthier world. It is highly important because it has the potential to allow technology and nature to co-exist peacefully.
