Some students say it’s a good thing to wear uniforms because it’s more affordable for their parents and that just saves more money so whenever they ask for anything they can have it. Coachella Valley, which is where RMHS is located reaches temperatures up to 120 degrees which is not uniform friendly, with temperatures that high is can be a safety hazard for students. If the policy is approved parents will be forced to buy uniforms which in many cases they can't afford and will now have to struggle more than they already are just to send their kid to school.

Which is why schools should have uniforms.
Do you think kids should have to wear school uniforms? I don’t think so I mean what the fun in that? Kids wearing the same clothes over again and not being able to express our personality with our clothes. Kids should have the rights wearing what they want. Kids want to feel comfortable. Kids want to be happy and not have to wash their uniforms every night just for school.
I have heard that you are thinking about getting rid of the school uniforms. I completely agree with this. I think students should be able to wear what they want as long as it's apropriate. The uniforms have never benifited the school in any way. There are a few reasons why I agree

In summary, schools should not have uniforms. They do not allow students to express themselves. Also, they teach conformity over individuality. The idea of uniforms being required for public school students has been a widely controversial topic in the recent past. In the 2003-2004 school year, only one in eight public schools required students to wear uniforms (ProConorg Headlines). In the 2013-2014 school year, one in five public schools required students to wear uniforms (ProConorg Headlines). This essay will discuss the reasons that uniforms restrict the individuality of students, burdens families that cannot afford two sets of clothes for each of their children (Farrell), and serve little to none purpose in benefitting the education of students. Uniforms are meant for the workforce, not school children.
As a school Rancho Mirage High School should wear uniforms. Uniforms would benefit our school in many ways, that people wouldn't think of. RMHS students are required to wear a lanyard with their ids to help quickly identify the students and also a quick way to see if they attend RMHS. Having uniforms would help with this quick way to help teachers and administration. As a school uniforms would help build a sense of community at the school, we would come together as one to school. School uniforms should definitely be used in school systems. Uniforms are both good for schools as well as for the students. Wearing uniforms will help build a sense of unity within the school. Instead of everyone as a separate team, everyone will be in the same team. Wearing uniforms will help free students of the stress of what to wear in the morning. Wearing school uniforms will help improve student individuality and improve their self-esteem.
Regardless of whether the school is private or public, the use of school uniforms should be executed as a way to promote an environment that helps students get the most out of their school education.
For years, there have been hundreds of debates about whether students should wear uniforms or not. Many schools agreed with the idea and have already required school uniforms, while others are still considering it. Some say that school uniforms represent discipline and instill school pride, but others think that it is not creativity and comfortable. Despite that there are still arguments about it; school uniforms have increasingly demonstrated their importance and influence in many ways. Students should have to wear uniforms because it will help students to perform better at school, give students a sense of discipline, lower the cost for parents, and decrease the rate of crime.
School systems have debated for years if they should make school uniforms mandatory for all students. Some parents do not want school systems to mandate uniforms due to pressure from their children to be able to maintain their individuality through clothing, while other parents prefer uniforms to reduce spending money on name brand school clothes and to minimize associations with gangs. More school systems across the United States of America are going to uniforms from grades one through twelve where students are still impressionable by their peers. I believe public schools should require students to wear school uniforms to help parents save money in these hard economic times, to limit the number of incidents of violence in the school systems due to gangs and gang associates such as colors, and to prepare students for the job force after school where some places make it mandatory to wear uniforms to work every day.
