Looking forward, I hope to bring my understanding of and appreciation for complexities to Washington University School of Law. I have grown up between the culture of the progressive and diverse D.C. and the conservative and homogenous Midwest. While challenging, living between distinct groups has showed me that life is more in the middle than anything, and the truth usually lies there as well.

I would like to attend Loyola's Journalist Law School because I have always been passionate human rights and strongly oppose the death penalty. I have also found it fascinating and enjoyed sitting in on court hearings. I guess for me, my passion begun when my best friend was accepted to law school and had me attend her ordination and later invited me to other functions at the school and I was part of her mock trial. In college, I had the opportunity to take a journalism, law class was sad when the class was over. I feel that I would benefit attending Loyola's Journalist Law School because it would

After struggling with learning the college environment and a relatively large student loan, I decided to leave the school after one year. I soon found my way back home and into San Joaquin Delta College, where I spent the next three years struggling to prepare myself for my career goals in the medical field and even earning an Associate's Degree. After failing to achieve the grade I wanted for Biology alone, I decided to try a new field of study. After my third year at Delta College, I shifted towards a new goal in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Once I finished the necessary classes for this field, I was finally able to transfer to a university again and found my way to Sacramento State. After struggling with a long commute and classes, I learned that these fields I was pursuing were not what I wanted to do with my life. Not to mention, I learned that I really do not like Science and Mathematics. Now I finally come to the part where I found my way into Humphrey's College. My mother has graduated from Humphrey's College and told me about the Legal Studies program. After reviewing my transcript from Delta College and a lot of thought thereafter, I learned a few thing about myself. I always had a love for the
Law school is the rigorous study of law and its applications. Such rigorous study requires one to be flexible and persevere. One cannot be handicapped or debilitated by a negative outcome. I did not let my 152 score defeat me; I hammered down, changed my preparation, and trained for the LSAT like a marathon. There was always a possibility I would obtain a 163.
I want the school I go to to be able to identify with diverse students and UCI offers the assortment of different cultures that truly enriches and facilitates growth in a student’s experiences. That being said since it is clear diversity is an important part of the school, I feel as though my addition would provide more of what makes this law school
I define myself as a curious researcher and reflective practitioner who perceives legal education as a combination of passion and practicality. Whereas my idealistic side wants to thoroughly understand the development of global legal ethics, my pragmatic side asks what actions should be taken by lawyers to solve international legal problems. Hence, Penn Law’s core strengths in providing a remarkably interdisciplinary learning experience and the program of Legal Practice Skills will be the bridge to my academic and professional aspirations.
Law is of fundamental importance to our country, as well as shaping our modern evolving society. I felt that doing a Law degree can be both satisfying and help society in the future by
