What makes you who you are? There are many factors that contribute to our identity. Two factors that help shape one’s identity in positive and negative ways are money and family. Money can make an impact on your life in a good or bad way. Money can pay for your college, which leads to a degree. Money can help you get a nice home, food and a car. This is important because money will help you live. Money can also be bad because you can spend it on the wrong things. You can spend money on drugs and become mental. You can gamble and lose all your money. It's up to you what you spend your money on just spend it wisely. A family can shape one’s identity. A family can guide you through life. They can be supportive and helpful. This is important
Family is a powerful force that glues us back together when we fall apart. It supports us and makes us feel like we are a structurally sound building. Most
There are many aspects that contribute to the idea of family. Family by definition, is a group of people related by blood (e.g. parents, siblings, cousins, etc). In class we have read and discussed many pieces of work that depict the influences of family and/or home on the individual. One of the two I will discuss is “Charlotte Temple” by Susanna Rowson, as well as “A Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson” by Mary Rowlandson, both of which demonstrate the power of familial bonds and its effect over the course of your life. The impact of family, whether it is weak or strong, will define who you are as a person.
Who do you think you are? There are many factors that shape one’s identity. But the two most important factors that can shape one’s identity are family and friends.
What really makes you who you are? A better question would be, who really makes you who you are. I believe that the single biggest factor in what made you who you are today is your family and close friends. Yeah, there are things like intelligence or memory, but almost everything else about you is from your family. A person's outlook on life is influenced by their family's choices and actions that are related to them. Their actions and reactions to things are a result of the beliefs and moral compass of the people around them. Almost everything you know about yourself comes from or was started directly or indirectly by your family.
My family is the one that has made me be who I am. They have always been supportive when I do something whether it is academic or extracurricular. They are loving and understanding when I have to make decision that may have drastic changes. Since family is very important to me I try to spend as much time as I can with them since I have a busy schedule being involved in band and cheer. My family is significant to me because they have been the most influential people in my life. They have taught me how to be compassionate to others and to not take things for granted. They have always told me to be kind to everyone no matter who they were. My parents have told me about the many things they did not get to have when they were my age, which makes me value the many opportunities that I currently have. I value the many virtues they have because those are the ones I have carried throughout my high school
Something that you can’t control about your life is your family. Good, bad, or ugly, you start your life with them in some capacity. By being present or not, positive or not, they will shape your life. Your family should bring out the best in you. They should encourage you to do what you’ve always inspired to do and to be who you’ve always inspired to be. You should never disregard your family or forget where you come from. When you have your family by your side, you never need to feel that you are alone as you step out into the world.
What makes you who you are? Everyone has an identity that is made up of many changing factors. Two factors that help shape one's identity in a positive and negative way are family and friends.
There are many different ways that our identities are shaped. There are three main ways we are shaped one is nature which is with our genes another one is society and the last one is nurture which is how we were raised. Some people believe that one is the result of how we are and others think it's two of them that shape us. There are some people though that think that all three of them shape us. Many people have their own opinions but the biggest factor is what happens in society.
Secondarily, the family can affect a person on how will they view the world, and how would they live with it. There are certain things that we are doing just because we need to and our family tells us to. Some of it may become our permanent responsibilities in life. Me as an example, because of my family’s high expectations I became responsible for my studies. Having good grades was not just a thing that I just wanted; it was a responsibility for me because our family is expecting everyone to be successful. Another is the responsibility to have the best career; my family does not take enough as an answer because they always wanted the best or the highest. Living with an Asian family was really tough because it was like I’m always in a competition. However, in my perspective, I know that they are doing this just for my own good. In addition, there are some family traditions that were known in our family like celebrating family reunion annually. It became a part of us even it was not mandatory. There are also simple things that we do because of our family, and it became a tradition even though we are not aware of it. It was automatically built in our minds that we should live this way, and make it our lifestyle. Overall, one reason why the family is a big part of being is because they affect people greatly to their lifestyles
“Families are like branches on a tree, we grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.” This quote represents the fact that family splits apart but remains as one and plays a crucial role in one's life. Moreover, a good supporting family can impact anyone in a positive way. Although, a dysfunctional family can affect someone in a negative way. Identity, the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. Family can define one’s identity to a great extent. For example, parents can impact their children in many ways and siblings as well. Community, family, and gender configures one’s identity intensely.
Family is undoubtedly in everyone’s life. Weather his or her family is blood or not, family makes up a big part of their life. I was blessed to have a family that loves and supports me even though they do not always know what is best for me. Family to me is anyone that loves and supports me for being me and that want to see me grow. Like anyone, my family teaches me lessons and these lessons make up a huge part of my life. Parents will do what they think is best, but I must decide for myself what lessons I learn from these moments. I have learned that I must embrace every moment as a tool to help
When I think of the word family many thoughts and feelings circulate through my mind. I associate family with trust, support, unconditional love, and the list goes on. However, if I were to describe family from my experience, I would have to define it as the people who accept you no matter whom you are despite the flaws and mistakes one has made throughout their lifetime. Therefore, having a family that cares and supports one in whatever it may be is a true blessing that one should not take for granted.
Family is like coconut cake. Mostly sweet, with a few strings. If i didn 't have a family, who would I be able to share my feelings with? Who will ever understand what I 'm going through? What is life without our family. The world may never know if they do not know what family is to them. Family is the four layers of the coconut cake. It starts off with the outer frosting which is the beginning of your family where you get all the support and guidance you need. Then it leads into the layer of cake which is you get all the love and care because you the inside that is just needing to be filled with joy and
Family is the gift that God gives to us for all the life. We have to take care for it and make it stronger as the years past; they are our funds, in good or bad moment, even we don’t ask for their hand, they will give do it. We can count every moment with them, with no exceptions because there is a blood tie also, and more important. There is an affective bond which is stronger than any other link in this world. Having a large family could be so cool, sure we have a lot of fun and happiness. When we are lonely, we have someone to talk and share the story. If we have a problem, a lot of family members will help to solve our problem. We also have more chores and responsibilities towards other people that make you more responsible and
A family is someone foundation. They are molded and shaped by their family dynamics. There are so many factors that we can look at how a family operates. For example, the structure and the process of the family. However, at times those variables are not always visual to others. The structure and process are usually passed down from generation to generation. When looking back on generations to generations, we start to realize where our family values come from, the experiences they are willing to tell the next generation.
