Perpetrators of sex crimes committed against children often start by gaining the trust of potential victims and the adults in their lives’ by using a tactic called “grooming.” The purpose of this memo is to give the court a baseline understanding of what sex offender victim grooming is, its purpose, and techniques. Sex offender are qualified as unlawful because of the level of harm that can be brought to a kid. If kids are not mental stable than how will they be able to go through everyday life as an adult. Many sex offenders became sex offender because they may have been abused by another sex offender when they were a child. Drastic measure should be taken to keep children out of harm’s way. Sex offenders should have a designated area to live in, they should work in a work environment where there are minimum to no kids, and they should have a monthly evaluation on their mental health.
