Severus Snape Hero

Harry Potter went from being treated poorly, having nothing of his own, living in a small cabinet under the stairs, to being awed because he survives the death of his parents, having quite a bit of thing. Harry Potter fits the Hero stereotype because he went from nothing and now he has almost everything. His upbringing in the Dursleys house made him stronger and more courageous than he already was. Heroes are different from us because they learn to face different scenarios than everyone else

Heroes are not in it for themselves, they are guided by what they think is right. To be a hero, one needs to be selfless, courageous and strong. They need selflessness to be humble and put others needs before their own. These qualities truly show the real heroes in both literature and in today’s world.

How do you define a hero? Some may define a hero with the ability to fly, or run fast; to others a hero may be saving someone who is in dangers; others may define a hero as one who is able to help another in various ways. Harry Potter is a orphan boy who find out he is a wizard and goes to a magic school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While he is at Hogwarts, he develops his supernatural qualities, goes on a journey, and defeats evil. Although Harry Potter is not a Epic hero in the same way as Odysseus, Harry Potter still fulfills the stages of epic hero cycle and proves that he is a hero by overcome obstacles and showing his bravery, and selflessness.

Beowulf; a man whose greatness begun when he saved an entire kingdom from the clutches of the vile monster Grendel. Beowulf was known for countlessly putting his body and his life on the line to save his people. His courage and determination is what kept his legacy alive for all of these years. Not only that, but the respect he had for the people around him made him a remembered warrior as well. That’s what I think makes a hero. Being determined to get a job done, having the courage to step in and complete that job, and having enough respect for your people to still obey their wishes despite your apparent fame. The kind of person vivien thomas was a doctor that saved blue baby’s lives. He was a hero for all the blue baby’s lives because he saved many babies lives just by surgery and thomas thought that he could not do it but he could save their lives.People thought that he was nothing to them because he was a black man then one day they thought the world of him because he saved peoples and baby’s lives. Then thomas became a doctor even though he did not know want to do.Thomas was a very special man for every body because he was the hero of the blue baby’s.

Who is your epic hero? Some people would say some kind of marvel character like Thor or Spider man. Mine would be Odysseus. He went to war for ten years then on his way home he got off track by some storms and went to all of these islands where some of his shipmates died. It took him ten years to get home.

Atticus Finch based on the historical novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is considered to be the number one hero of all time. This is because Atticus is selfless, caring and brave. Also since Atticus killed a rabies infected dog named Tim Johnson to save others in maycomb country. Secondly he is a hero because when spat in his face he maintains his composure. In short Atticus Finch is a hero because he treats others kindly with respect is and he is willing to put his life after others.

Odysseus fulfills the description of a hero perfectly. He’s courageous, clever, noble, and admired for his outstanding achievements. He’s done many heroic things such as defeat his enemy,Troy, rescue his men several times from witches, cyclopes, sirens etc, and returning home while reuniting with his family and ruling Ithaca.

My hero's name is Toshinori Yagi, as a person he's selfless and determined to bring the best out of others. Im choosing Toshinori because personally battling the kind of issues in his life for the benefit of others despite a life threatening injury is a wondferful trait. Years ago, after sustaining a nearly fatal wound, Mr. Yagi would continue to physically fight to save the lives of others. Knowing full well he would never recover and still choosing herosim is the kind of sacrifice that defines a true hero.

Unlike many instigators, a true hero is and will never be harsh or inhumane. In J.K. Rowling’s novel Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, there are several incidents where Voldemort acts wicked and brutal. For example, Harry was saying that “Voldemort killed my parents. He was nothing more than a murderer.” This represents that even when a hero gets angry they would never try to kill anyone. Revenge is never the answer. In addition, Voldemort and Harry finally meet face to face again. He wants revenge and says to the basilisk, “Kill him! Parseltongue won’t save you now, Potter! It only obeys me!” Voldemort hates Harry so much, he tries to end his life once more. This shows that Voldemort is not a hero because an authentic hero would never do anything so merciless as to attempt to murder an innocent kid. Voldemort depicts what a hero should never do

What does make a hero a hero? Is it there looks? Alternatively, maybe is it their personality? However, the question is what are those essential qualities that make one a hero? Different people require different heroes to look up to or try to emulate. However, whoever it may be, they all possess certain qualities. My hero is my mother, for the reason that she is selfless, compassion, and courage. That kind of selflessness can often be premeditated, since concentrating on others' needs often winds up helping one accomplish one’s own goals. However, a heroic leader does so without any anticipation of a return. The display and concern show the care one has for others. This can often apparent itself in strong but gentle actions planned to increase the lives of others. Courage and bravery come to mind first when we think of heroism. However, it is difficult to achieve anything truly heroic unless one is up against overwhelming chances. As Nelson Mandela put it, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." These minor acts of heroism rarely attract any notice. A true hero is always sympathetic, benevolent and shows a great deal of compassion and sympathy to those poorly or in agony. He or she keeps away judgements; that are oriented to the self and embraces an attitude that serves others.

From living with his aunt and uncle and sleeping under the stairs to his life being completely changed around to practicing magic and becoming one of the most well-known wizards in history. The character Harry Potter in the well-known book “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone” is an astonishing example of how the hero cycle is applied to the protagonist. Harry is living his most ordinary life in the regular world and suddenly the call to adventure approached him when Harry begins to receive mysterious letters. Refusal of the call comes next and after that the meeting of the mentor. Secondly, the crossing of the threshold is used when Harry joins the wizarding world. Tests, Allies and enemies when he arrives at Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. Approach when the trio prepare themselves to face Voldemort. Ordeal death and rebirth, reward and seizing the sword. Lastly. The road back when Harry, Ron and Hermione try and face Voldemort. Resurrection and the return of the elixir.
