There is no doubt, that Ted Bundy was one of the worst serial killers ever to have been discovered. After learning about his story, it seems possible that Bundy’s career as a serial killer began when he was only fifteen years old. Ann Marie, the little girl that took piano lessons from Bundy’s great uncle, and also lived along his paper route went missing. He was never investigat-ed for the crime. There were also other troubling indicators in his youth, such as shoplifting, and looking at women through their bedroom windows at night. The video showed us that Ted Bundy was raised in a very hostile environment, yet he himself exhibited little to no hostility. For what Ted Bundy lacked an emotional understanding he made up for in brainpower. He was a very intelligent man, which is how he was able to fool some many people for so many years. His psychopathic condition allowed him to facilitate very well in society, so well in fact, that he could lure the unsuspecting young women away from the safety of public (Skeem, Polaschek, Patrick, & Lilienfeld, 2015). Even after Bundy was arrested he managed to keep up his persona of cockiness, and arrogance; as if he could somehow talk his way out of the trial and death penalty. What is truly amazing is that someone who’s that hollow and empty inside was able to convince so many people around him who knew him personally and professionally into thinking that he was just a normal, average, everyday person. His ability to lie, and adapt his personality to the situation at hand is how he was able avoid capture for so long.
