Comparison with Secular Humanism
As a fervent believer in God the Universe, over time it has been difficult not to develop an increasingly antagonistic view of all organized religions for the many reasons discussed earlier. Many Muslims think their religion is superior to others. Many Christians view their religion as superior to Islam, because of the tolerance factor. Others might say that the point of religious practice is not 'tolerance,' but the pursuit of salvation. Tolerance is good in religious matters because there are so many of these man-made religions, and they all seem to have the same purpose and suffer from the same problems, i.e. irrational beliefs and rampant hypocrisy and misbehavior. Therefore, I suggest that we evaluate the legitimacy of religions based on how close they conform to reality and are open to change when faced with scientific facts. This is not necessarily proposing the "superiority" of religions that approach the ideals of secular humanism but that approach reality as defined by scientific findings.

As a secular life stance, secular humanism incorporates the Enlightenment principle of individualism, which celebrates emancipating the individual from traditional controls by family, church, and state, increasingly empowering each of us to set the terms of his or her own
