As a life scout, I personally feel like I have come a long way from when I was just a scout. Boy scouts has helped me so much throughout my whole life. Whether it be the camp outs, enjoyable scout meetings, or just the things I learned in scouting, I would not be young man I am today without my time in scouts. As I have just graduated, I plan to enter in as a Freshman at Southern Connecticut State University. Currently, I am having the Yale dental department working with my mouth to fix the many issues that pertain with it. Dorming at Southern Connecticut State University makes it easier for me to schedule appointments seeing that both the college and the dental office are 20 minutes away from each other. I declared my major in Communications with my concentration on film, television, and video production. I had thoughts about joining the national guard while I go to college, however, due to a lot of thought and conversations with …show more content…
I plan to stay an active member at my local church and provide the care to my mother and father. They have done so much for me, if it weren’t for them, I may still be back in my original country of Moldova. Without their extra push in my life, I would not be the man I am today. I would have quit a lot of things when I was younger. However, they taught me to see everything out to the end so I can understand and learn something new. I see myself at age 30 taking on new challenges like I always do. Whether this be in the video production industry, my fitness lifestyle, or keeping my good relationships that I have with people I care about. I have always wanted to make a documentary on the orphanages in Moldova. This topic has always been an area that I have wanted to film about for so long now since I can relate as being an orphan from Moldova. I want people to know more about the children and they can help being from so far away. I want make an impact to society within my
Attending Troop N Camp Cadet was truly an experience that I cannot say enough great things about. The camp truly pushed me to my mental and physical limits, and because of that, graduation day was a day I will never forget. As I think back on this experience, many people stand out to me. One of the main groups of people was of course the advisors, which were helped by the junior counselors. I believe that I, being given the opportunity to be a junior counselor, would be provided with a positive experience for many reasons.

Waycross Middle School offers many unique activities, sports, and clubs. For example, there is one club that I’m in that’s called crazy science. In this club, we perform different science experiments that are really amazing and are actually pretty “crazy”. One time, we did an experiment where we got to see what happened when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Another time, we did an experiment called elephant toothpaste. What we did was that you fill a skinny bottle or tube with hydrogen peroxide and a little bit of food coloring. Then you pour a special substance in to get a really colorful foam burst out of the tube like a volcano! It was a really fun experience! In conclusion, I think this is a fun club that gets kids to have a chance to
Most Boy Scouts get to the second to last rank of scouting, Life. Once this point is reached, there is one last big requirement before the Eagle Scout rank is reached, the service project. This is not an ordinary pick up the trash on the side of the road type of service. This project is meant for only the most dedicated. It involves making something for the community, using the skills learned in the previous ranks, and above all, showing leadership. Due to the incredible amount of work involved, most scouts do not proceed to Eagle, instead they “Life-out.” I would have been a part of that group,
Every spring when baseball season rolls around, millions of people attend tryouts for their favorite team. Tryouts are always a little daunting—especially for newer players. After all, most people haven't played since the warm months of summer and they may feel a bit rusty.
I went with most of my friends to the next step in my scouting career, Troop 429, which is where I met the single most inspirational man ever, even more so than Mr. Donnelly. That man was the scoutmaster of my new Troop, Mr. Michael Davis. Mr. Donnelly had taught me to love the outdoors and now Mr. Davis' job was to make me into the man that I am today. I advanced fairly quickly through the Boy Scouts, earning my Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, and Star Ranks speedily. I was finally going to high school where I was not sure if I would be able to focus all of my efforts on Boy Scouts. On top of that, my Freshman year was the year I was elected Senior Patrol Leader for the first time, a job I held until I aged out at 18. I began to slack off slightly in my advance towards the ever daunting and out of reach Eagle Scout Rank. It was Mr. Davis, along with others, who pushed me toward earning the Eagle Scout Rank. Eventually I made Eagle after I earned my last merit badge just days before my 18th
Being in the scouts have taught me lots of things. They have taught me life skills that I can use in the real
This paper will detail my search of entry level accounting potions in the northern Virginia area. I will describe in detail my process throughout my searches, as well as the path I have taken, and plan to take, to be able to apply for the chosen position. I started out with three similar positions in a very similar geographic area, but ultimately chose one position that most appealed to me. This was a rather involved process, involving searching various sources, even though most of the information was published, ultimately, by the company itself. This is an entry level position search because I am just beginning my venture into the workforce, and I have many plans to grow and advance from here. My education and experiences have prepared me
Progressing through ranks and merit badges widened my range of knowledge, from fingerprinting to landscape architecture. Seeing this variety kept me in and wanting more. I encountered other Scouts beyond the troop and I made really good friends that are out of the normal school environment. Once again, the shell broke away a little more.
I have been a boy scout since the first grade, and I believe nothing contributed greater to me wanting to help people, and my leadership skills, then being a boy scout. There are countless times on campouts and events where first aid and knowledge of the human body come into play. During one of the annual summer camps my troop goes on every year, me and a friend of mine were hiking up a mountain. It was one of the steeper trails, so we had to watch our step. About half way up, my partner lost his footing and sprained his ankle. He could not get down the mountain so I had to find what I could to make a brace, because I could not carry him down without injuring myself as well. I found a few sturdy sticks and tied them around his ankle, using the tibia as a guide for how straight I needed to make it. We worked together to get down and to the first aid tent. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had and taught me a lot about leadership and gave me some experience when it came to handling
“Oh the Places You’ll Go”. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you see this sentence? Perhaps infamous author Dr. Seuss and an acute nostalgia of childhood memories . How many people have a dream vacation or favorite place? The tropical tropic of Tahiti or perhaps glacial glaciers in Greenland or maybe the Castle on the Hill? Dear classmates, no person thinks more highly than I do of the uniqueness, as well as abilities, of the very intelligent individuals whom are in this room. So no regards wish to bore you with trite details. Without further delay, I shall speak forth my research.
The Boy Scouts of America taught me of leadership, service, and community. The merit badges I took helped me to learn the necessary skills to lead, and the positions I held gave me the experience to teach. The Boy Scouts also facilitated many service projects in my community so that we could see others reap the benefits, rather than ourselves. For my Eagle Scout Project, I led volunteers and myself to plant new bushes and trees in a section of my community park. Scouting taught me so much, but none more important than serving your community through leadership and
I have always had a passion for traveling, as well as people who are impoverished and do not have access to things that I and many other may take for granted, such as healthcare. My major career goal is to become a midwife and be able to visit countries where women do not have access to the best healthcare. I want to be able to assist them in their deliveries and health and make sure their those women and their babies are healthy and happy. Many women and newborns die in underdeveloped countries because of exposure to unsanitary conditions and the idea that I can save lives is a major key in my
For this project, we used exploratory research to conduct our analysis on healthy eating. Due to the little knowledge we had regarding healthy eating, we needed to get information from the general public regarding their opinions toward healthy and unhealthy food. Our goal was to find a potential relationship between the cupcakes and the chicken and spinach sandwich. By finding a potential relationship, this could be used for further research experiments regarding the opinions towards healthy and unhealthy foods. We used mainly qualitative research questions to conduct our survey, while having a few quantitative research questions to help compliment the data. Using qualitative research questions was extremely beneficial to our research study because it
Profiling is broadly defined as a behavioral and investigative technique in forensic science that helps the investigator to profile an unknown subject or offenders, with the analysis of the behavior and circumstances associated with serious crimes in an effort to identify the probable characteristics of the perpetrator. A specific profile analysis or known as criminal investigative analysis by the FBI, offender profiling, criminal personality profiling, behavioral profiling or forensic psychologist often calls investigative psychology. Despite the different names in the field of profiling, they all share a common goal as to help investigators examine evidence from crime scenes and the victim and witness reports to develop an offender description.
