Showing Kindness will make a difference in the world. In the “Science of Good Deeds” the author states “What makes us perform good deeds? When we act on behalf of other people.” This quote is saying that when we see others perform kindness it makes us want to as well. Furthermore, in my kindness journal, I saw a girl holding the door open for me and others behind me with a big smile on her face. This quote impacted me by being inspired to be kind to others because I saw her being kind to me. “Angel in Disguise” shows us that even the worst of people can turn out to be Angels. This impacts others by seeing how someone can change from being hatred and despised, to being loving. Jasmine Guinness once said, “Be kind, don't judge, and have respect
It is important to strive for kindness because, it makes people feel appreciated, and it
She thinks that if we practice kindness, it can have a positive effect on our society. She encourages us to be kind to ourselves and others, because this can help create a more compassionate and empathetic world.
Disease, starvation, malnutrition, and exposure killed more than 2,500 American soldiers by the end of February 1778. Many years ago about 500 British people decided to come to America to seek land. 69 years later, the Declaration of Independence was passed, and it states that people should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Valley Forge was a military camp 18 miles north of Philadelphia and it was where the Continental Army, led by George Washington, stayed all winter. The Continental Army was an army that was created under the Continental Congress. Later, the French decided to come help the Americans after the Battle of Saratoga. As a soldier at Valley Forge staying throughout the Winter is a reasonable choice
There is a time in every person’s life where a certain other person gives them words of strong encouragement. There is also a time in every person’s life where they distribute words of kindness to others as well.
Integrity it is not just performing an act of kindness, but the morals you stand behind when you do do the act. The level of honesty, the willingness to do what is right and moral commitments all these add up to equal the level of integrity you hold yourself to. I do not think I have performed, the level of integrity that this quote is talking about, but I have
And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.” this is a quote by the Dalai Lama and it is very true. Doing something good by helping people is a chain reaction, because if I help one person by doing something, then they might be impacted and they could pass it on by doing something nice too. That could make the world a much better place, by spreading happiness and helpfulness one person at a time.
Showing kindness is such an important role that we play in making our world better. God asks us to be kind to our neighbors and our enemies, regardless of whether they reciprocate kindness or not. If we can manage this small and simple thing, the world would be a much safer and happier place. And the thing about kindness is that it has a ripple effect. Something so simple and easy as smiling at someone could make a change in your life, and in the lives of others too.
Growing up I never really thought about how much kindness could actually change people. We all know how important it is to be kind to one another but I don't think we take into consideration sometimes how much words can effect someone, positively or negatively.. After this tragic event happened I took into consideration the importance of kindness as well as how much people over look the simplicity of it.
Macbeth is as guilty of his fate as a man under the influence is guilty to drive off his family from a cliff, to their demise. It is only on him that the guilt lies for he is the one and only at the helm of events. Of course you could take into account the booze in the man, and the prophecy that rotten the mind of Macbeth. Nevertheless, no matter the influence, free will was present, and therefore no one is to blame, but that who chooses. The man could have said no to the bottle, and Macbeth could have said no to his fate. You see Macbeth was a prisoner, chained by the compassionate praises he receives from his brothers in arms, and fellow noblemen. He is a vicious dog on a weakened leash. The three witches did not let Macbeth’s fate be known to him. They solely gave a mad man the excuse he needs to act upon his true nature. To fight off the good in him with the belief he has no other option than to give in. Macbeth choose to believe in the prophecies as facts because that is what he covets, not because that was his fate, but because of greed.
Most people know that it is important to show kindness towards other people and it might seem like a very trivial piece of advice to give people if you tell them to remember to be more kind. However sometimes in the grand scheme of things and in the overpowering and overwhelming light of our own ambition and need for success we still let opportunities of kindness pass us by. This is what George Saunders1 addresses in his commencement addres that he delivered in May 2013 at Syracuse University in New York State.
A strong powerful storm has came off the coast of Africa, meteorologist are tracking this storm as it slams over the Atlantic ocean.this storm started off as a tropical storm and built up to a category five+ hurricane.
Kindness is not just a word its also an action. Kindness can affect people in many ways it could even possibly make their day. Kindness is also a gift anyone can afford to give so why do we not do it more frequently. Some examples of kindness from the book Wonder written by R.J. Palacio would be Miranda giving up her part in the play, or August forgiving Jack, or even just the part where Summer sets with August at lunch. Those are the acts of kindness the world needs today.
Mark Twain one announced, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” This quote exemplifies the fact that no matter what, it means so much to just be kind. Considering you never know what is entering another person’s household, kindness is a key to success in not only your only life but millions of others. No matter what, everyone
Kindness can be demonstrated in a number of forms. At school, in home, around neighborhoods, during after school activities, and anywhere else you can imagine. An act of KIndness does not have to change the world,
Treating others with kindness benefits everyone involved. For example, in the story “Angel in Disguise”, the author states "We'll keep her a day or two longer; she is so weak and helpless," said Mrs. Joe Thompson…” She was starting to open up to Maggie and realize that she loves her as if she were her own child. This helps lift Mrs. Thompson’s sprits and shows her that she can feel feelings. This shows how being kind to Maggie made her a more loving person in the end. Additionally, in the article, “Teaching Kindness,” the author states that “As minds and bodies grow, it’s abundantly clear that children require a healthy dose of the warm-and-fuzzies to thrive as healthy, happy, well-rounded individuals.” This is proof that children need kindness
