In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” written by Richard Connell, Sanger Rainsford is a world wide big game hunter that is intelligent and experienced when, it comes to defeating General Zaroff. (17) The second character is General Zaroff. Zaroff ,”is a tall man, past middle age and, his hair is vivid white and he has thick eyebrows, and a pointed military moustache.” (17) The third character is Ivan and he is a gigantic deaf-mute servant. Sanger Rainsford is a world-renowned hunter that was on his way to go hunt jaguars when his ship crashed. While he was swimming to shore he heard a gunshot blast in the distance. He thought if he followed it, it would lead him to a cabin or house so that he could have somewhere to sleep and eat. Zaroff’s sharp features accentuate his odd personality. His voice makes him sound so mean and brave. He also has a passion for killing humans and game so that makes him so experienced and thrilled.
Ivan is a military expert and Zaroff’s mute assistant. He is a tall man with a good physical stature. He has a waist length black beard and wears a black uniform. Zaroff’s captives usually flee rather than being his prey and suffer a certain death from Ivan’s monstrous hands.
In the conclusion sanger rainsford made a bet that he killed kill more jaguars than Zaroff. Zaroff gave Rainsford a 1 day headstart to his own bet and he backtracked his footsteps and he started to get tired and he climbed a tree and went to the middle branch so he could sleep without Zaroff seeing him in the bushes on lying on the ground. The the next day Rainsford had killed a jaguar and when Zaroff came to hunt he saw that rainsford had already killed one. After Rainsford killed Zaroff and went back to the plateau and slept the best in his whole
