Samuel had a job at a counting house which is similar to a bank and after adams got fired from his job. After getting fired Samuel’s dad gave him money so he can start a business. Samuel gave some of the money to a needy friend and soon adams lost the rest of the other half of the money. When Samuel lost the money Samuel’s dad put him to work in the family brewery but adams neglected the business until it was destroyed. Samuel later had six children with Elizabeth Checkley.
