I feel greatly honored to be considered to be a part of National Honor Society. Being a part of NHS will help me grow as a leader and as an overall person. As H. Jackson Brown Jr. once said “The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today”. I try to live by this quote by doing everything in my power to shape my future to be successful, and joyous. This mean getting involved in my community, staying active, joining a handful of clubs, and striving for high academic achievements. For as long as I can remember I have been involved in my community, as I joined Girl Scouts at age five. This sparked my involvement with the people and the world around me. I am still in Girl Scouts, but currently it teaches me more leadership as we help out with some younger troops of Girl Scouts teaching them to thrive in their community and take responsibility for their actions. I also volunteer at my church, helping run the café, and giving a hand in the nursery. In addition I help at basketball tournaments year round, running clocks and working within the concession stand. …show more content…
Currently I am in cross country, basketball, and track, but I have done many other sports in the past. I joined the cross country team in 8th grade in hopes of finding a new passion. I fell in love with running and decided to join the track team that same year. Basketball is a different story; I joined in 3rd grade just because my parents signed me up as most sports go when you're younger, and I struggled greatly with learning and understanding the game. I spent long summers training in my yard trying to get better. This determination helped me significantly when it became time for tryouts, as I ended up making the higher team. To this day I still have a lot of determination when it comes to sports and most things in

Through hard work, I have been able to hold a GPA over 3.8 in both 9th and 10th grade; this shows my strong dedication to scholarship. I am a dedicated person who enjoys giving back to the community; I have participated in many volunteer activities, and I would love the opportunity to continue my volunteer work as a NHS member. If I am given the privilege of NHS membership, I will continue to uphold my commitment to service and leadership.
I am very happy and honored to be a part of the students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I believe that the National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes the achievements of the students that are admitted into the organization such as: service, leadership, scholarship, character, and extra-curricular activities. On top of the recognizing students, I also see the NHS as an organization that pushes students to move forward with these characteristics and try to strive for further greatness or involvement in their community or school. I believe that the NHS finds ways to help good students become greater students or even greater people.
It is an honor to be considered for membership for the National Honor Society. The service that I have done throughout my high school career will benefit me later in life. As a student, I am very honored to have received this invitation from the NHS. From the start of my freshman year it has been a goal of mine that I have focused on, a dream of mine that that has now turned into reality. It has also made me gain confidence in myself knowing that I can achieve many great things in life. Being in the National Honor Society will push me in school and also help me strive for greatness and not for average. Throughout my years in school, I really didn’t care about my grades and also my behavior. I always was the one to get into trouble every day and really not care about
I am tremendously honored to be a candidate for the National Honor Society. I have seen such sincere values in many of my peers who have been inducted in the last years, and am thrilled to have a chance to join them. The values NHS represents match so closely with my own. One of the most important characteristics NHS symbolizes is leadership. Practically my whole life I have worked towards becoming a strong leader. Ten years ago when I first entered cub scouts, I was shy and absolutely terrified of public speaking or leading anyone. However, over the years many leadership opportunities were presented to me, and I began to improve.
The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience
It is an honor to be chosen as a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society. Academics, leadership skills, service abilities, and character are four principal parts of a superior student. I believe that I am inclusive of all these aspects needed to become a part of this prestigious group. Becoming a member of this organization is important to me, because it will help me get into an excellent college and push me to work harder in school.
In regard to community, I have volunteered for my clubs, DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America), BPA (Business Professionals of America), NTHS (National Technical Honor Society), Cross Country and others. From helping the club itself to representing the club through charitable acts, such as making christmas a little better for military families, or helping at assisted living centers. My parents taught me at a young age how to be a considerate

After learning about the National Honor Society, and what the organization represented, I knew it was something I wanted to participate in. This organization works hard to better educational opportunities for students across the nation, and that is something I would like to play a part in to further the outstanding reputation of the NHS. I believe that this is an opportunity I deserve due to my recognizable hard work. I am aware that the NHS is known for recognizing students with outstanding grades and commendable characteristics, which is something I believe I have obtained throughout my years of hard work.
