Our group decided to discuss the expense of college tuition at Salt Lake Community College. Once we had our questions started, we began the reflecting thinking process to come up with a solution. In the reflecting thinking process, we defined a problem that we found needed to be solved. We analyzed the problem then we came up with specific criteria. Then we came up with possible solutions and then calculated our solutions with said criteria. After going through those steps, we then came up with the most qualified solution. In 1937, Meridian Community College (MCC) was founded as a part of Meridian High School in the local school system. In 1965, the College also formerly known as Meridian Junior College moved from its original location to its present location. In 1970, the College merged with the historically T.J. Harris Junior College according to a federal court order to the Meridian Municipal Separate School System. There were more than 400 students and faculty joined the MJC campus. In 1980, Meridian Junior College established its own district and Board of Trustees. In 1987, the College officially changed its name to Meridian Community College to reflect its mission and the diversity it provides to a growing community (http://www.meridiancc.edu/Assets/1pdfs/catalog/MCC_Catalog_2015-2016_Book.pdf).
Understanding college policies and procedures is critical for success at Delaware Technical Community College. The reason it is so critical is because every college has its own policies, and without knowing those policies it is impossible to follow them. One policy for example that would be critical to success is understanding the grading policy. Delaware Technical Community College does not have D on the grading scale, if someone didn't look further into that policy they may not know that they are actually in bad academic standing and are failing a class. Another important procedure that is critical to success is understanding the appeals process. While academic appeals are often not a good thing, it is important to know about in case

In the fall of 1970, three long-haired men sought to register to attend Tyler Junior College in the fall semester. When they arrived to register, they were snubbed by a school official after receiving a copy of the dress code, due to the length of their hair. They were informed that they would be allowed to attend the college upon cutting their hair to the required length. After discussing the injustice of this act, these three men filed a suit against the dress code of Tyler Junior College. The plaintiffs claimed the portion of the dress code regarding hair length was a violation of their constitutional rights, specifically the rights afforded to them under the fourteenth amendment.
It's May of my senior year and part of our High School and Beyond Plan is to participate in a weeklong job shadow in a job field that suits our interests. Originally agriculture was the path I had chosen. However, I had decided to select a job shadow in the healthcare field. You see, in November of my senior year, my great-grandmother passed away. Tragically, she had fallen outside and was not found until later in the evening. The ambulance was called and I watched my parents, neighbor & teacher rush to the scene and attempt to save her life. As dramatic as this might sound it was the reality

I have looked at countless colleges to see what would be the best for my and my plans, and one college stood out from all the others; Herkimer College. My current plan is to go to college for two years to get my general studies out of the way so I can transfer into a college in Australia for stock trading. Herkimer will allow me to do this because it is close to home, so I don’t have to worry about the cost of room and board and I can balance work and college. Herkimer is also a cheaper alternative than many other colleges, allowing me to save more money to move to Australia in a few years.

Originally many schools, including some post-secondary colleges, were designed as factories to train workers (Ackoff & Greenberg, 2008). With a focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic, individuals gained skills needed to complete robotic instructions, but unfortunately, not problem-solving techniques. This concept is still present in many of our schooling systems today including some of classes and graduation tracks at Your State Community College (YSCC). Founded in 1968, YSCC serves about 6,000 students preparing them for jobs in both academic and trade careers. Unfortunately, many of the students who enter the school do not score high enough on the placement examination and need remedial courses prior to taking college-level Math
