My personal faith grows daily by my choice to follow my love and savior, Jesus, every day I wake up. It was by no accident that God showed me Liberty University, and has now become a top option in my choices of colleges. I believe in the deep mission Liberty University has to develop Christ-centered believers because it is the same mission I strive to live out daily in my walk as a follower of Christ. My season of life will not always be the same as someone else's, but I pray that what I have walked through and what God taught me in those seasons can give perspective to others. During my two last years of high school, i've been in contact with a lot of colleges and universities. Many of which don’t get my attention. Throughout my whole high school years, there was only one college that i wanted to go to, Liberty University. I have heard so many wonderful things about Liberty and what i loved the most was that it was a christian school. Liberty had the number one thing that i am looking for in a college, that is a christian school, but many of my other things that i look for in a college where just not there. In my last two years of highschool I duel enrolled St. Petersburg Community College, my local community college. In my senior year I decided to take online classes due to the very long drive to the nearest campus. I ended up taking Calculus with Analytic Geometry and two other classes online. My Calculus proffessor did not teach or provide any materiel to learn from other than the text book and homework questions. For the first quarter of the class I did well and completed all the assignments easily; however, the class got harder and the textbook no longer provided me with enough information to complete the assignments. I struggled through this part of the class and had a hard time mainting my grade which I wanted to keep as high as possible. After several trips to the campus for tutoring and spending hours trying to find other external resources I began to learn how to solve the problems and brought my grade back up and finally passed the class with an A.

Walking into the doors of Delaware County Community College the 1st day of my freshman year, I did not think I would be where I’m at now. I was so cocky towards school, thinking I could slide through college classes just as easy like I did with highschool, Boy, I was wrong. I started skipping classes, not turning in my work on time, and honestly not giving school the best of my ability. Even out of school I was off course, I got my licence right at the beginning of the semester so I was out until 12 every night, sometimes even later. Most of those nights, I didn't even sleep at home. The fact I wasn’t a child anymore and I was in college, I wanted freedom without the responsibility. I actually took INT during my first semester but I didn't take it seriously.

During my time at Union County College I have been faced with a lot of difficulties. I’ve struggled along the way but one thing I do believe is that I have the power to do better. My GPA has been affected by my personal mistakes. In my past semesters I have let my job take over my life rather than let school be most important. I have also let my personal family problems affect my work ethic. But through my fall 2014, it was most difficult because of March 2014 I lost my father through an unexpected heart attack. Throughout my fall semester I did struggle and cope with my father not being here anymore. Wilmington started out as home, then became just a vacation. After years of moving and resisting the pull to move back, I finally made the best and brightest decision I think I have ever made. I am moving home, and in the process, I thought there would be no better place to further my education than The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have recently taken a year off in between high school and pursuing my college education, and frankly, I think it has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life. When I was first notified that I had to attend the Summer Transition Program, I was upset. I thought that it was a complete waste of my summer. Now, I don’t want to imagine what would have happen to me if I wasn’t part of the program. Deep down  I was afraid of moving all the way to Virginia. I knew no one and was all alone. Thanks to the Transition Program,  I made life long friendships and acquaintances, got acclimated to living in virginia and have some of the best experience of my life.

2014 Fall Semester in the begining was going pretty good i was excited to began school , adapting to the new college life, and interacting with friends and new people. I was attending all my classes on time , studying , and completing the required assigments that needed to be done. I also was working a full-time at Gensis Logistics it wasnt easy trying to manage my schedule , but i tried to make it work the best i could. MTE 1 , 3 , and SDV was a breeze to me I was completing my assigments , studying , and understanding the information that was given to me. Now on the otherhand ENG wasn't hard for me i just didnt understand the content that was teached by the teacher. English was always the strongest subject for me so i couldnt understand why it was such a problem in college , maybe it was the teacher and her teaching methods. I never understood any information that was given it seemed to me like our class was always off topic one class period we would talk english, and then another class period we would talk about something else besides english. Then she assigned papers and assigments that was unfamilar to me it seem like everytime she assigned the class papers

It has been a while since we last spoke in Boston. I hope all is well in America. I have just about had enough of China and am excited on coming home in a few weeks.

In May of 2012, I became a co-owner of a restaurant called Campus Slice. It was a newly built pizzeria located directly across the street from Tuskegee University. I came up with the concept of Campus Slice with two of my peers; it was a pizza lounge for students of Tuskegee University as well as the community in order to bring everyone together and create revenue for a poverty stricken area. As a young girl, I always told others I wanted to be a business mogul. My time in college revealed my entrepreneurship spirit, by senior year I had developed so many new activities and events in the role President of these organizations, I was elected Senior Class President. Ever since I was a kid I have always thought about what college I was eventually going to go to. I made the decision in high school that I wanted to be a special education teacher, so I thought about some schools that had that teaching program. My number one school I wanted to attend that had the best teaching program was East Carolina University. Having ECU as my number one choice lead me to apply there. Weeks after I applied I got a letter telling me some sad news that I was not accepted. Since I applied to ECU and did not get in, I was now thinking about applying to other schools like Methodist University or maybe a community college.

During the great depression, most people were not doing well, but there were some who saw opportunities that no one else saw. This course is all about “finding your own opportunities”. She teaches “Intrapreneurship” to corporations and their employees, where they learn how to create their own opportunities and promote the same within the existing corporation”.

I believe I am an example of leadership, scholarship, character, and service in my own life. Some of the activities I am in represent how I uphold the ideals throughout my day. With Golf Basketball and all the sports I am in, I uphold the leadership pillar as a guide my peers. In Aca-Deca and Quiz bowl, I demonstrate the pillar of scholarship. While volunteering my time at church events and the in friends program I exhibit the pillars of character and service.

This year I expect to get a license and a car. I have already practiced driving a lot, and have a set appointment on my drivers test (March 8th). I have to get a job soon in order to pay for a car and have been applying to many places, but it's difficult to get a job without experience. I cannot wait to get a car, because that means I don't have to rely on anyone to get me places.

What lies across the hallway is a door in which I tend to enter and exit through repeatedly. Both sides of the door tells immensely different stories of what you view on the inside and on the outside. All you can see and hear is silence and diligence in one side of the door but as you walk through the other side, everything becomes more louder, bolder, and alive.
