During the first class period we were able to discuss the syllabus and gain a general understanding of what we can expect from SOCW 502, as well as the competencies that will be covered in this course. We further discussed what we, as students, are expected to do to be successful in this course. After discussing the syllabus we were able to have a group discussion about the semester project as well as the weekly reflective journals. This gave us time to get acquainted and further discuss each person’s area of interest, which will be helpful in selecting a topic for the semester project. We were then able to learn more about the instructor of the course. It was also interesting and entertaining to hear about the educational background of the
This essay will detail a critical reflection of two key learning experiences that I encountered during my team observed structured professional encounter (TOSPE). Originally designed by Harden and Gleeson (1979), TOSPE takes the form of a mock multi-disciplinary team meeting. As a result, it allows healthcare students to work collaboratively as a multi-disciplinary team- developing non-technical skills and cultural competence.
Congress brought impeachment charges against Johnson in early 1868. It was the first impeachment of a U.S. president. Congress said Johnson violated the Tenure of Office Act and was obstructing the will of the people through an abusive use of veto power
By next week, our aim to continue to test the car with the different amount of weights to work the total amount (optimal weight for our modified car) of weight that our car can carry. Our second goal is to finish our technical report as soon as
This simulation was the most challenging for me thus far. During this simulation, what resonated with me most was the importance of prioritizing and patient education. In order to successfully complete this VSIM I had to ask the patient how she was breathing despite seeing the 02 level rise and I also decided to give her a breathing mask before giving her an incentive spirometer to encourage her to cough, which in hindsight was common sense. It was surprising to find out this patient smokes even though she has a history of respiratory issues. I imagine that in a real life situation she would receive some patient education about the dangers of smoking and maybe patches to help quit. Overall, I enjoyed this VSIM because I had to correct a lot
As our goal with collateral was to make the most impact, it was important for us to understand our audience and their tastes. For instance, information on program pamphlets needed to contain appropriate information. Length was also a key control factor in all my work. Since our events are designed to be a light and fun experience, the vibe had to match the writing we produced. Hence, at least for us, less was more. In addition, the class that has added the most value to my experience has been Teamwork and Negotiations. There are so many aspects to cooperation one cannot fully learn through reading a textbook. Working for a semester on multiple projects with the focus of developing a strong team has been phenomenal in learning the soft skills required to be an effective follower and leader. Humans are complicated beings. There is rarely an isolated causal relationship. Knowing there is not just one factor but a combination has made me a better listener and improved my intuitiveness. Additionally, it has helped me stop stereotyping people. As a result, the coursework has equipped me with transferable skills required of any typical worker who is required to work well both independently and in
CM spoke to Maureen O’ Dea (IIC) regarding a follow-up on therapeutic services for Destiny (youth). IIC informed CM that youth has good coping skills and does not need IIC services. IIC and CM discussed transitioning youth out of Hudson CMO. CM will conduct 1st transition meeting for Tuesday, 4/25/17. IIC and CM talked about some challenges that youth endures due to her environment. CM noted she met with youth on 3/28/17 and provided her with school and employment resources. IIC and youth continues to meet weekly for 1 hour.
Before I enrolled in SOP 3932(The Psychology of Drugs and Drug Abuse) course, I always believed that a 12 Steps Program is only for addicts to attend and the counselor who is guiding them could be there. Then when Professor Berry informed be that I needed to attend a session I felt sick to my stomach. The reason why I felt that type of why is because the negative perception I received from it from the media and word of mouth. When I attended the meeting this past weekend I was apprehensive because I never saw so many addicts ever in my life. The place was at it capacity and I watched some addicts had trembling hands, others couldn’t sit still, and the remaining addicts was zone out (it was like their minds wasn’t there at that moment). When the host came out to speak, I watched how the people shifted their focus on the host

The first thing I learned from the PT is that you can have any major and still apply to PT school as long as you take the required classes. PT schools look to diversify the majors and students they accept. The first thing I learned from the OT is that you do not have to take the GRE to be accepted into some OT schools. The process for applying was all online and was straight forward. The first thing I learned from the PA is that patient care hours are huge. She recommended that you have them anywhere from 1,000 to 8,000 patient care hours when applying.
EREPORT # 19242 stated the following: I don't have a specific date when the incident happened. On today, February 24, 2016, Melanie reported to me that her butt bleeds because Rudy (step father) keep hitting her.
The artifacts section of the portfolio is present the works I have done through my time in the MPA program. The artifacts range from the assignments I needed to complete from my courses to my internship experience. The purpose of this section is to displace how each of the work helped increase my skills and competencies as a public administrator.

Purple is also an institutional colour of Newsround that is why it is included. The singular female presenter is seen in a full body shot.
I did hear from the instructor that tested applicant Estrada and he confirmed that he did allow our applicant to conduct the 1.5 mile run on the treadmill. He explained that the previous Program Coordinator, who has since been released from ASU, had approved this and that this was the only applicant that was allowed to use the treadmill for the testing process. I have forwarded this to the current Program Coordinator who understands that there are to be no changes to the testing
Daphne is a full-time employee with Vitas Health Care for a long time. Her work begins on May 20, 2004. She applied for the position as a hospice aide. In these favorable times, she presented Vitas benefits in a positive light for individuals who have the requirements for hospice services.
Availability of a course syllabus was one of the good things that defined the semester. The course syllabus explained the topics that would be taught throughout the semester. Thus, students oriented their minds with the requirements of the course. Such a situation contributed to a substantive part of the success achieved during the course. In addition, the professor encouraged groups work among the students. According to Brown (2014), group work enhance co-operation among the students. Undoubtedly, the teamwork resulting from the group work led to better understanding of business concepts as well contribution of new
