The Bluetooth specifications are developed and licensed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
Bluetooth technology relies on two things, a radio frequency technology and the protocol software enabling it to transmit data to other devices. Bluetooth-capable devices can transmit data to other devices not within the line of sight of the user. It also enables different devices to communicate using certain rules such as the amount of data that will be sent, the type of communication between the devices and the radio frequency or frequencies this communication will take place. These protocols ensure that Bluetooth devices experience the least amount of interference from other Bluetooth capable objects while communicating with each other. smartphones are the ideal productivity solution for both voice and data for your mobile workforce. They’ll be able to stay in touch with the people and information that matter most. Access email, instant message, access the Internet, run business applications and more.Communicate your way: Call, email, instant message, or text message, all with one device.
3.0 Internet Technology and Services
3.1 VOIP
(Voice Over IP) A telephone service that uses the Internet as a global telephone network. Many companies, including Vonage, 8×8 and AT&T (CallVantage), typically offer calling within the country for a fixed fee and a low per-minute charge
Bluetooth also uses a wireless technology that enables communication between compatible devices. Bluetooth uses a standard 2.4 GHz frequency what allows all Bluetooth-enabled devices to be compatible with each other.
When it comes to VoIP phone systems, the "Vo" part refers to voice over, and the IP part stands for having your phone calls routed over the Internet. Many business owners have opted for these phone systems because they are cheaper than having numerous and separate phones in the office. You do not have to use the network or telephone service to make phone calls, which lowers the overall cost. At the same time, there are advantages of using IP technology for telecommunication.
“Tethering” is the sharing a smartphone network connection with another device and allow connections to the Internet via the other device’s connection (Hoffman, 2013).Tethering is frequently used to access the Internet on a laptop using a smartphone data connection (Hoffman, 2013). One item that most people do not realize is they can also tether over Bluetooth and this will consume much less battery power than Wi-Fi would (Hoffman, 2013).
Mobile phones have improved a lot since it was first introduced and now nearly everyone owns a mobile phone. It keeps you connected with friends, family and co-workers. This is very good in case of an emergency you can quickly contact someone for help and keeps you safe. A mobile phone is packed with so much technology such as a music player, digital camera and even a GPS.
Cellphones are most common in society. The ease of access allows us to have the world at our fingertips 24 hours a day and we never have to unplug. We can surf the web, book a flight, check the weather, and message a friend 1000 miles away without leaving our bed.
This report fulfills the specific requirement for documentation as specified in FIT 5083 Assignment 1. In this technical report, we will identify the various steps and techniques used in deployment of wireless network. Initially, what is networking or network infrastructure? Networking mean to connect two or more devices and configure them in such a way that they can communicate with each other. In networking, network infrastructure means to connect the software and hardware part rather than actual connection between two devices. Now days, wireless network connections are highly on demand because it’s easy to access and it does not require any cabling structure.
Mobile phones: Is wireless device that allows users to make calls, send text messages and send emails (with the smartphones). As JKJ, it is a state agent mobile phone is needed to be in touch with their customers and colleagues from outside the offices, such as calling the customers from the properties they need to rent or sell.
Mobile computing is growing at an extremely rapid rate and you can see it everywhere you go. You are probably doing it yourself multiple times a day and don’t even realize it. Phones, laptops, tablets, cloud storage and wireless networks that we use everyday are just a few elements of mobile computing. A survey listed by Bowles states that 26% of smartphone users makes them feel like they are being more productive than without them. (Bowles 2013) I can remember taking typing class in high school and now almost every school in America issues tablets to their students.
Physics plays an important role in the functioning of Bluetooth in terms of waves. Waves are important in Bluetooth as microwave is the wave transmitted by Bluetooth and the whole functioning of Bluetooth is dependent on the microwave transmission.
Due to advances in technology, smartphone availability and use is far more widespread than in the past. According to a study done by Ericsson[1], Singapore
Nearly everyone is using cell phones in their day routine lives. Cell phones have now become less of a novelty and more of a communication tool providing many utilities all in one package, from camera, video games, internet and apps; they combine business and personal convenience.
Mobile computing is the important information system infrastructure. Organization information system mainly get very good benefits from the Mobile computing. Bluetooth was initiated in 1989 but brought amazing accomplishments to the technology world. You can control the wanted device from a wireless distance and still get a good and efficient use for your device. For example, you are sitting on the couch and want to watch the video you are watching on your phone on the tv. Bluetooth which is controlled by networking, brings that capability which lets the phone digitally talk to the tv by the software created for it to do that. Now, for a software to work you need to have some hardware involved for the Bluetooth to work. The Bluetooth chips is what allows the process to happen. This technology innovated so many companies and filled them with ideas: Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and so much more. Bluetooth is one of the biggest advancements that we have
Mobile computing is technology that has enabled users to obtain internet services while being in a state of constant motion. Conventionally, internet could only be accessed only via Ethernet cable and users had to sit on one place in order to access internet. In this way, there existed no concept of taking work to a trip or connecting to world anytime. With the invention of mobile computing, users can take their work in their hands. One can now get internet service anywhere needed.
One of the well known VoIP provider is perhaps Vonage. Vonage is a commercial voice over IP network that provides telephone service using a broadband connection. Based in Edison, New Jersey, Vonage offers services to subscribers throughout the United States. It expanded into Canada in April 2004, and into the United Kingdom in early 2005.Vonage offers unlimited calling to the US and Canada for a flat monthly fee, with
