When it comes to extra-curricular activities, each student looks for something that accomodates their desired, and if that student's desire lies in making full use of his/her physical strength and intellectual ability, then rugby is the ideal sport. In order to be a competent rugby player, one has to combine endurance, mobility, formidable strength and a complete devotion for the game.
To briefly describe the game, it consists of two competing teams, each team is compiled of 15 players, the objective of the game is to carry, pass or kick the ball to an area called the endzone. The game lasts 80 minutes, played on the course of two halves, each lasting 40 minutes with a 5 minute break seperating them.
What makes rugby different
The rules regarding how to start the game are as follows; there is a coin toss and the team that wins it gets to decide which goal it will attack in the first half and the other team takes the kick off. The side that wins the toss takes the kick-off at the start of the second half. In the second half, the teams switch ends so they are attacking the opposite goal. When a team has scored a goal, the kick-off is taken by the opposite team. The rules for every kick-off are as follows; every player has to be in their own half, the team not taking the kick-off have to be at least ten yards from the ball until
These 10 positions include 3 attacks, 3 mid-fields, 3 defenders, and a goalie. Throughout the game there are tactical rolling substitutions such as you might see in ice hockey. This gets fresh players on the field so that the game can be played at an extremely fast pace. The purpose of the game is to score as many points or goals as possible in the time allotted. The goals are 6 feet by 6 feet, and they are placed about 10 yards into the playing surface so that players can run behind them, again, much like ice hockey.
One team will play defense and the other team will play offense. The objective is for whichever team that plays offense, to score with the ball on the opposite team’s touchdown zone. The defense team has to try and stop the offense team from scoring. The offense team has 4 tries at scoring with the play. If the offense team does not manage to score, the ball is the given to the other team.
The goal is a game that reduces the potential for injury but is still fun to play! How It Works This version of football introduces a new element to replace some of the rougher physical play. Instead of tackling the ball-carrier to the ground, players on the defending team try to capture a flag from the ball-carrier. This dramatically reduces the potential for injury.
The play can keep going on if someone is tackled, either they throw it or they pass the ball to one of their teammates. The attacking has a total of six tackles before a possession is changed. Ball control is important because if someone fumbles, when someone drops a ball while it is in play, it automatically goes to the other
American football, referred to as football in the United States and Canada, and also known as gridiron football or simply gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, which is the team controlling the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with or passing the ball, while the defense, which is the team without control of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and aims to take control of the ball for themselves. The offense must advance at least ten yards in four downs, or plays, and otherwise they turn over the football to the defense; if the offense succeeds in advancing ten yards or more, they are given a new set of four downs.
The scoring is quite simple the offense has to get ten yards to keep the ball and get first downs do that then you will be able to score a touchdown which will give you six points or you could kick it in for one point but if the defense stops them and
The games of American football and rugby are both extremely popular sports with a similar basic aim and structure of play. However, these two sports vary in many aspects of the game. Rugby has a greater international reach, different regulations and rules of play, and smaller risk of injury.
All policies by any sporting body are put into place to ensure the safety of players and fair play in the game. The Australian Rugby Union Association (ARUA) have developed policies that provide players and officials with guidelines that protect them from unsafe behaviour and strengthen the positive image of rugby union. These policies consist of a code of conduct that includes expectations of behaviour, anti-doping, medical policies including concussion guidelines, sport supplement policies, illicit drug use, work health and safety and game regulations. All laws of the game allow players of all physiques, skill levels, genders and ages the opportunity to participate in rugby in an environment that is safe, controlled and enjoyable.
As with any sport, rugby union presents the risk of injuries to all players, however as a contact sport there are a larger number of injuries that are commonly sustained, with as many as 1 in 4 rugby players getting injured during the season (Miller, 2014). Rugby Union as a sport results in the most amount injuries, accounting for 36% of injuries sustained by sport participants yearly (ABS, 2001). These injuries can range from soft tissue to hard tissue, and can result from direct or indirect impact, resulting in a wide range of injuries that can be associated with rugby union. However the five most common injuries appear to be concussion, hamstring strain, dislocations, fractures and sprained ankles.
The basic rules are the most important part of every game, but are extra important in football. Every drive for the offense will start with the opposing team kicking the ball off. If the ball is kicked out of the back of the end zone, that will result in a touchback, which means the offense starts on their own 20-yard line. A football field is 100 yards long with two end zones on each end. Each half you have what is considered your end zone which your defense will try to keep the other team’s offense from scoring touchdowns or field goals in. A touchdown is 6 points plus an extra point kick that is one point or a two-point conversion that are rarer and harder to convert. A field goal can be kicked at any point on offense is 3 points. So if you are on your own side of the 50-yard line, you would say you are on your own 20, 25, 30, ect. If you have the ball on you own 20-yard line it would be pretty difficult to make it 80 yards in the 4 plays you are given. That’s why you can earn what is called a first down every 10 yards. An offense has four plays to gain 10 yards to get a first down or the ball is turned over on downs, which means the other team will receive
First I will talk about the players on teams and what each player does during a game, then I will tell you about the different positions of the field, and lastly on what a team will do on both the Offense and Defense.

Just those which could conquer the wind as well as their very own weak points will certainly come to be real tales.
The offense of football is one unit that goes on the field to play against the opponents’ defense. When the offensive unit scores or turns the ball over, it goes to the sideline to await its turn to go back out on to the field, and the same rules apply for the defensive unit. Football scores can be in increments of one, two, three, and six points. They are scored by kicking a field goal after a touchdown, tackling for safety, kicking a field goal in regulation play, running the ball into the end zone. Football is played at a high speed with a lot of intensity.
