Given the information, this project seems promising for success assuming high occupancy levels. The Millegan Creek Apartments would be a 390 unit apartment project in Williamson County, for a proposed $15,715,000 loan. It would be about 11 miles northwest of the CBD and close to many of Austin’s high tech companies. This location would be beneficial because it can service many of the high tech companies’ employees and since the apartments are being built as a typical luxury apartment complex, it will be more appealing to these employees. JPI had begun to search for the ideal location for the Millegan Creek Apartments in 1993. They sought an area with employment

One day Logan tells Janie that he is going out to buy a mule, and wants her to do hard labor while he is gone Janie does not like this and offers to cut some potatoes instead. While Logan is out Janie meets, a man named Joe Starks from Georgia, who she describes as a citified stylishly dressed man, who to Janie is acting white.
Her vision of love does not include manual labor instead it includes rest and relaxation. The voice inside Janie’s head tells her to run off with a different man, yet she is still unable to verbalize her needs and desires. Janie’s voice, however has grown from being silent to a tiny whisper, and with that small boost of courage, Janie overcomes her fears by sharing her thoughts of leaving with Logan. This marriage gave Logan a sense of security, but he fears the “terrible ache” of loneliness (30). When Janie reveals her plan to “run off” with another man and leave Logan, she puts fear in his heart and fills him with anger (30). Finally, after Janie chooses to use her voice, a tough decision lies ahead for her to make since Janie never discovers true love and happiness through her marriage with Logan. She comes to the realization that her marriage needs to end before she becomes a grown woman. Janie “has done lived Grandma’s way” and she desires a life of her own (114). This thought propels Janie to stand up for herself and decide to leave Logan and she uses her voice to confront Logan and notify him that she is leaving. Although Logan becomes furious and curses and yells at Janie, his outburst only seals his fate and makes Janie more confident in her decision to leave. Janie breaks free of Logan, and with her new found freedom, life is “bound to do her good” (32).

So one day she meets Joe Starks and after spending some time together, Janie asks Logan what he would do if she ran away. Logan, rather than responding honestly, lies and hides his true feelings through insults. Janie learns that a marriage does not always withhold love. Love is something that must come naturally without force or thought and Janie sees that she has no such feeling towards Logan. Hence Janie runs off with Joe Starks and Logan is never heard of again.
However, she quickly learns that Logan, finds her useless, “spoilt rotten” and compares her to his old wife, who did manual labor for him without many complaints (26). Not only does Janie find Logan unattractive, but she does not even find him intellectually or emotionally stimulating, as he never shows her affection (24). Attempting to gain some perspective on how to liven up her marriage, Janie seeks out the advice of her Nanny, an unmarried former slave. Janie claims that she “wants to want him sometimes” (23), but her efforts are in vain. Due to the conditions Nanny was raised in, Nanny told her granddaughter that love was bound to happen eventually because Logan was financially stable. Nanny did not understand Janie’s wishes of love; she was on a basic level of understanding. While Janie obeyed Nanny’s wish of her to stay with Logan for almost a year, when Janie knew the marriage was headed nowhere except disaster, she runs off with a man named Joe Sparks who she had correspondence with for almost a year. Janie concluded from her time with Logan “that marriage did not make love” (25). Janie’s view on love did not change with her relationship with Logan. In fact, it was because of the horrendous outcomes of the marriage that Janie decided to chase after her ideal relationship with
First of all, I decided to watch the movie Rent, which was based on Jonathan Larson’s Pulizer and his Tony award-winning musical, which has also appeared on Broadway many times. The film and musical are about a group of artists, eight friends, who are living in New York City during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. They each are dealing with different problems in their lives, such as HIV/AIDS, drug addiction, rejection, and poverty. This movie had a very tremendous impact on me, and I was very impressed with how they tied each theme into it. I was moved in a way that it has even effected the way I look at others, and overall at life.
As I go to sleep, I dream of a place where everyone is treated equally and not judged by their race or culture. As I wake up the next morning I tell myself, “Life being treated equally… What is that?” For years racism has been around, When will it ever stop? We the people are tired of seeing innocent black lives on the news being shot up by police officers for looking “suspicious”. If the law does not seem to notice how big of a problem racism is becoming, One suggestion that I would give them is that they should take their time to read “Room For Rent”, By Richie Narvaez. After reading that story, it will give you a better view on how racism is a huge problem. While I was reading this story, it made me more interested to find out if this is really happening or is it just a myth. It makes me wonder if people actually face these ethnicity problems.
