I believe Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy because of the extreme measures Romeo and Juliet took to disobey everyone in their lives. Romeo believed he loved Rosaline and then decided he loved Juliet at first sight. Love at first sight is false because you do not know somebody well enough to decide you love them. Romeo and Juliet is full of tragic deaths and murders. Romeo kills Juliet's cousin, Tybalt. Romeo also kills Juliet's suitor Paris. Mercutio was killed because he accepted Tybalt's challenge,and the duel ends in mercutio being killed,and Romeo killing Tybalt. Tybalt is Alive in triumph-and Mercutio is slain. (Shakespeare 146). They end up dead, and this goes to show that your own reckless decisions can kill you. Romeo and Juliets deaths were meaningless,they died for a love that was not true. They continue to love each other,and they get married,but they will soon come to their fate.They kept their marriage a secret,because they knew that nobody would agree. The outcome of these deaths does not last very long for Romeo and Juliet. They end up dead, and this goes to show that your own reckless decisions can kill you. Romeo and Juliets deaths were meaningless,they died for a love that was not true. Juliet chose to disobey the nurse and snuck out to see Romeo, which in turn played a part in her death. She also disobeys because she is very angry at the nurse's advice to forget Romeo and to just marry Paris. She is outraged by this and goes to Friar Lawrence for help,she threatens suicide if he can not help her get out of the marriage to Paris. Romeo and Juliet did not need to die, neither did anyone else.Romeo states Think upon these gone. (Shakespeare 264) Romeo or Juliet could have given up their title as a montague or a capsule. Juliet says to Romeo, Deny thy father and refuse thy name, Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet. (Shakespeare 80 ).They could have just given it up and married as just two people but they let their family titles get in their way.Which in turn got them killed as well as their friends and family.They should have just accepted that they were not meant to be together,but they chose to de I believe that there is not such a thing as love at first sight,they could have lived without each other because they did not know each other well enough to love each other, not to mention killing themselves for each other. True love takes time,and knowing who the person is,and knowing who you are as well. The Nurse and Friar Lawrence were like parents to Romeo and Juliet.
