It became known that the German knew how to create an atomic bomb and FDR created a committee to study and create atomic bombs, named the Manhattan Project.The Manhattan Project was significant to the war because it led to the end of World War II and caused the Japanese to surrender to the Americans. The amount of people working together along with the cost and time which led to advancements in technology that was far ahead of any enemy. The creation of the bombs delivered a push in the advancement of science, innovation, designing, military and the entire of society into another age. The atomic bomb was seen as a weapon capable of ending the war, and it did just that. Due to its quick and magnificent destruction capabilities, the United States could avoid hand to hand combat and save the lives of many Americans. On the other hand, the bombs were seen as unnecessarily brutal. Because of its lethal range, hundreds of thousands of civilians were killed.

The atomic bomb was used in Japan and had devastating effects on Japans citizens. Because of the second atomic bomb WW2 ended. The atomic bomb was one of the most impacting event of the 20th century. It forever changed the way that people looked at war. For the first time, the human race possed the ability to destroy on a massive scale, and they actually got to see how they could do it during the second World War. It was a decision that the president, Harry Truman, had to think and decide very carefully on what exactly he wanted to do. Never in the history of war has anyone had the power that now existed within the United States of America. With a single decision, the President struck fear in the people of other nations. It was an exclamation point that stated how powerful a nation that America now is.

The atomic bombs brought WWII to its end, they were used in retaliation against the cruelty of the Japanese army, and they saved millions and millions of lives. Dropping the atomic bombs on Japan was a rational decision made by the United States that ended the most horrific and bloody war and saved mankind form self destruction.

The atomic bomb saved millions of lives by if we would have just invaded japan it would've been one of the most bloodiest wars. it would have been many, many times greater than the 200,000+ people that died from the atomic bombings. Japan would have lost so much more than what it had actually suffered. The US decided whether to invade or not but they decided that the atomic bomb was the route go to go without a lot of casualties.

In the summer of 1945, the first atomic bomb was made and tested, and on August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped over the city of Hiroshima, Japan. The bomb killed nearly seventy-thousand people instantly, which is miniscule in comparison to the thousands more that would have died if the war would have continued. Dropping the atomic bomb was a just decision because it saved American lives by avoiding a recreation of D-Day, was necessary to end the war swiftly by forcing Japan to surrender.

The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The bomb was used to end the war 6 months earlier than the war would have ended naturally. If the bomb was never dropped then the United States would have invaded japan and lost up to 1,000,000 soldiers in the battle (source 8). The United States should not have dropped the bomb because it killed more innocent people than it did threats to the country. The bomb had a blast radius of over 2,000 yards. This bomb disintegrated anything that was 1 mile within ground zero which was the drop site of the bomb.

The Nuclear Bomb was an event that would change the world forever. Merl Resler, a 91 year old Pearl Harbor Survivor said, the world is a safer place because of the Nuclear bomb. He believed that the Bomb was the only answer to ending WWII. (Merl Resler- An American Hero). The nuclear bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki created the major turning point of the 20th century. The atomic bomb ended up affecting political and military policies for all of the nations by introducing a new weapon that could wipe out countries in the blink of an eye. This mass weapon of destruction set a completely new set of policies and organizations that would deal with a new issue nations would have to face when dealing with a nuclear weapon.

In ww2 , the atomic bomb was dropped on japan to put an immediate end to the war and not draw other countries (i.e. the soviet union or china) into fighting combatively against the U.S. As far as foreign relations go, it proved to the world that the U.S was the most powerful country in that time ( superpower) . This also relates to several years later during the cold war. It prompted the Soviet Union to develop their own nuclear warfare. (i.e us comes out with hydrogen bomb and a year later USSR develops one). It's also the first introduction of Nuclear weapons to the world

The dropping of the atomic bomb was done in order to stop our soldiers and civilians from dying in world war 2.It showed our power to the rest of the world addtionlaly, it put the United States ahead of other countries in atomic warfare.It stopped many people of different ethnicities from dying.We also have many people who regretted making or helping make the atomic bomb after they saw the horror that they had created.
