I found this book to be well written and researched, the downside of it was it felt more like an essay. The background stories and information was repeated several times, repetition can be good but to much just makes it seem like you ran out of things

Along with some chapters or placing in the book I could did not understand what was really going on or how some characters actually fit into the story line until way later it seemed. In those cases I would have like to have had more knowledge at the beginning so that I could get a better understanding of what was going on or were it was the author was trying to take me at that

I really enjoyed the book because from the beginning it started giving background information about the characters, which really helped me see how they became the person we see in the book. Also the book does a wonderful job at painting pictures in your head. One part described the city as “… a ceaseless passage of carriages, trains, and grip cars all with iron clad wheels that struck the pavement like rolling hammers.” With that description I could see the cars and hear the wheels, plus it just helps me understand the book a little better.

I was not really into reading at the time, but I remember that my teacher made us read for at least fifteen minutes at the beginning of every class. If we did not have a book there were many books from her library to choose from. I believe this was one of the first books that I read in her class, and think I chose this book in particular because it stood out. I mean the title itself already piqued my interest. I honestly did not think that I was going to enjoy it as much as I did, It was such a bizarre read with all the strange events and abnormal characters. And in a weird way, the strangeness of the story was what I really liked. I do not think I would have liked it as much if it was not for that. It was one of the first chapter books that I did not have to force myself to finish. This was also one of the first books I read that really got me into loving to read. I just loved getting lost in another world and I wanted to keep reading books that did that for me.

Over the summer when I was sitting home and reading, The book was extremely hard and confusing to me. The book was so boring it was hard for my brain to stay focused on it. After a few chapters that I read I was hoping I could go look up some notes online to see if i get what was actually happening in the book, but no there was nothing on it. The whole summer I had to read that book and read chapters over and over again until I really understood the book and what was happening in the chapters.

Although my interest was lost in certain parts of the book, it did teach me a lot about being successful

This was really good because many books tend to stop the story before telling its readers how the lives of its characters were going. The Epilogue at the end of the story also helped to inform the reason for the book.

After reading this story I was very intrigued and I could not wait to read the next book in the series. There were a few things in this book that I did not understand, for example, he was taken to a school called The Academy but he left The Academy before he knew anything about it. How did he not know that they were going to help him control his dreams and use them to his advantage. Other than that this book was amazing and I cannot wait to read the next book.
