INTRODUCTION
Road traffic incidents are becoming a regular issue nowadays. In spite of many remedial actions taken by a government to solve these issues, there are ever increasing. The road accidents becoming another big c health concern at the public level. The accidents have risen up to around 50 million injuries and 1.2 million of deaths around the world. Talking about Dubai specifically it is a lucrative country for businesses and offers a luxury lifestyle for all, these attractions have made it a very high traffic area. All the steps taken to control the issue are the constraint and are offered limited success. The researches made on the matter under discussion are usually undisclosed and thus remain unsolved. Hence, Dubai encounters a very high level of traffic issues and accidents. Research on road safety has been conducted for several years, yet many issues still remain undisclosed and unsolved. There are many stakeholders that are concerned with this issue as their lives are directly or indirectly affected by such issues, that cause troubles in daily life and may also lead to death in a case of accidents.
STAKEHOLDERS
There are many stakeholders in this issue. Some are directly affected by the issues that are regarded as the Primary Stakeholders and some are not directly related which are regarded as the Secondary Stakeholders. The primary Stakeholders are constituted the desired beneficiaries of the project, for instance, the imposing agencies. The secondary
During the pre-contract briefing and at the early execution stage, I was able to know who the stakeholders were; the client, contractor, sub-contractors, other consultants as well as external stakeholders (state government, local council). Having went through my client is policy, I realised that “control” procedure, and health and safety requirement which are the two most important policies to my client. There is monthly meeting for both control, and health and safety for all that were involved on the project and attendance is mandatory.
Who are the stakeholders in this case? Which are primary, and which are secondary? What influence do they have?
Research shows the number of traffic accidents and corresponding fatalities can be reduced through effective program development, monitoring and evaluation. A comprehensive public policy can save lives. There is a significant difference in the numbers of fatalities in wealthy nations versus those in the developing world. The difference in the numbers is the clearest indicator that road safety measures and programs are effective in reducing traffic fatalities. Road safety improvements are expensive to implement initially, but they are cost-effective in the long run. Fewer
In Ethiopia, there are many activities done by stakeholder offices, for example, on the issue of unemployment, trade, transport, etc. When we see the style of stakeholders on these issues, all of the offices have their own office which has mission, vision, and Goal. Whereas, they work together on some portion of their responsibility. On the aspect of stakeholders, leaders of Gimbi town administration responded that Stakeholders of compensation during expropriation mainly includes: Gimbi town administration, Gimbi town Land Development and Management office, Gimbi town Municipality, Gimbi town construction office, and extends to the kebele according to its importance . From the discussion
Stakeholders are people or groups who are interest on the organization. Their interest is differing from one group to another depending on their various sources. The first section is going to discuss stakeholder’s definition, types of stakeholders and their influence in strategic decisions. The following section will highlight different source of stakeholder power that could affect the relation between organizations and their stakeholders. Also, discussion of the stakeholder analysis in managing stakeholder power which may support or hinder the organization's strategic decisions. Finally, the conclusion will sum up some of the recommendations that may followed when planning for new strategy for any organization.
All drivers know the feeling of driving down the road, more than likely jamming to their favorite song, when suddenly they are cut off by a fellow motorist. Now that they have been cut off they have been forced to slam on their brakes to keep from rear ending the driver directly in front of them. Fully enraged at how someone could be so careless in their driving habits and that they would perform such a risky maneuver, they scream, possible profanity, they honk their horn, they do whatever they feel is necessary to make themselves feel better. “There have been suggestions that road rage is a common occurrence on our roads, and that it is increasing as a result of the increasing pressures of modern society. (Taylor & Francis Group)” Road rage is something that needs to be addressed as a serious issue in today’s society, humans were not made to sit in traffic and that is possibly why some go a little crazy after doing so, they need to acknowledge and understand that it is a disorder that many suffer from, also it needs to be understood that children see this act of aggression and can learn that it is appropriate behavior towards driving, which is something they will do one day, and society must learn that their actions could cost people the lives of their loved ones and rip the lives of many others away from their families as well.
The Rapid growth of technology and infrastructure has made our lives easier. The advent of technology has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accident take place frequently which causes huge loss of life
The road environment is divided into three factors: personal factor, road environmental factor, and vehicle factor. In relation to traffic accidents, personal, road environmental, and vehicle factors are known to contribute 93%, 34%, and 13% of traffic accident approximately. Among the three factors, the road environmental factor affects traffic accidents via geometric road structure and damage or defects of road (safety) facilities. In appropriate road environmental factors can jeopardy the balance between driver and vehicle thereby causing a risk factor to traffic safety. Furthermore, a condition of road pavements can also be highly important to influence traffic accidents. In particular, a relationship of road pavement conditions with traffic accidents can be meaningful and ensuring a friction factor at the same road condition is highly important. A change in road pavement surface can be caused by heavy vehicle traffic and poor quality of mixtures. The change in pavement surface not only increases a risk of accidents as it can prevent safety vehicle driving due to inadequate draining during rainfall but also degrade skid resistance significantly due to standing water in the road, resulting in hydroplaning and making vehicle steering difficult to increase a risk of accidents. The analysis on the traffic accidents for three years (2013– 2015) showed that fatality of traffic accidents. Road crashes are increasing at alarming rate globally, the causes for this may vary such
Unocal faces so many problems with this project because of the large number of stakeholders. There are a number of stakeholders. Jones (1995) notes that business must meet the interests of a wide range of stakeholders in order to achieve competitive advantage. The risk that the different stakeholder groups pose to the profitability of the Yadana project illustrates this point clearly. Unocal's shareholders are the primary stakeholders for management to consider, since the managers are agents for the shareholders
Mohamad Nizam Mustafa Highway Planning Unit Road Safety Section Ministry of Works Jalan Sultan Salahuddin 50580 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ABSTRACT Road safety has long been considered as one of social responsibilities to the Malaysian Government. Road traffic accidents in Oman are approximately 10000 annually and in an average of 700 deaths and 8000 physical injuries (Al-Lamki, 2010).
Every day many people become involved in road accidents. Some get killed, some just become injured where they have no use of a body part anymore. What really is the problem with the cause of these road accidents? Do people think that teenagers shouldn’t drive till they are older than sixteen? Do people think that as an elderly person they shouldn’t drive if they have certain health conditions? All of these questions can be answered but, they haven’t because this is an everyday problem they we deal with and might just have the answer of people just need to be safer on the road. What really is the problem with road safety and can there actually be a solution to it rather than careless driving and age excuses? Are the prevention campaigns and advertisement actually working on the prevention of people being unsafe?

In the United States alone, there are almost 11 million traffic accidents per year, leading to 36 million fatalities (United States Census Bureau, 2012). These numbers are even higher in developing nations, where nearly half of the world's registered vehicles are located but practically all (90%) of traffic accident fatalities occur (Toroyan, 2009). Most of these fatalities can be prevented via public policy measures, and policy is essential to improve road safety worldwide. Road safety must become a part of global public policy through means such as education, awareness, and public relations. To improve road safety, though, great amounts of resources are required for the improvement of roads and the safety of vehicles too. Resources are also necessary to bolster the laws related to traffic, and the enforcement of those laws. Issues like vehicle design must also be taken into consideration. Road safety therefore requires a complex and comprehensive public policy that includes extensive assessment, thorough implementation, multifaceted monitoring, and ongoing evaluation.
The problem at its core of car accidents is the overcrowding of the roads; which is not only a social issue but a financial issues due to the huge costs that are placed on the public and the government in order to cover an accident; while cost is a term that is more than often used to discuss money, in this instance it will also be used to not only describe money but also monetary gain through an occupation. While the majority of the expenses are covered by the people that were involved in the incident there are also the
