“The Road Not Taken” is a poem that was written by Robert Frost in 1915. It is part of a poem collection called The Poetry of Robert Frost: The Collected Poems. The poem is about a person trying to decide between two roads. This person can’t decide which road to take because the different but yet the same. Even though the first one had undergrowth and the second one was, “grassy and wanted wear.” This is the conflict, as it continues and resolves, there is one theme that develops and that is making life decisions.
At the start of the poem, the mode is filled with anticipation and a little excitement for the road ahead, although the tone of the passage is filled with uncertainty. “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.” As we start out we can
