She recently received a Masters degree in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership with honors from Colorado State University, holds two BA’s from Regis University with honors, certified Project Management Professional (PMP) 2004, completed Pearson Emerging Leader program in 2011, and became Scaled Agile certified 2013. She is a member of both the Golden Key and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies. Marianne resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband, two sons, and her dog Felix. People clearly are an organization’s most critical resource. Their knowledge and skills along with their commitment, creativity, and effort are the basis for competitive advantage. It is people that have creative ideas for new products or for process improvements that devise marketing strategy or take technologies to the next level.

When one thinks of the retail giant Home Depot they think of reasonably priced items that will aid them in home improvement projects. In the business world though, the mention of this chain store brings to mind the controversial CEO Robert Nardelli who left an organizational path of destruction upon his departure from the company. Nardelli had an interesting leadership style that bordered on the edge of being considered unethical and was considered by many as not being beneficial for the company overall. Throughout this time, Kerry has performance a good job and has shown excellent technological and communication skills as well as an excellent management by objectives. In addition, Kerry has been in charge of marketing projects, which achieved good outcomes for our company. She always is an excellent team member because of her good attitude and willingness of helping to other colleagues. Kerry has an area of opportunity of improving her performance at work by enhancing her organizational skills.

Colleen regularly demonstrates proactively sharing information, ideas and best practices with others and collaborating with others. An example of this was working with traffic on a need to provide an AMS traffic report to senior management. She collaborated with traffic on what they needed and provided an option on how to pull this information from available reports along with Excel macros.

There are a time and place for all leadership styles. No style is right or wrong. It is how leaders use them that determine success or failure. I started working at Ashley Stewart on June 6, 2000. My first position was a sales associate. After working six months, I was invited to transfer to one of the Cleveland stores as a co-manager. After working there for a year, I was asked to move back to Toledo where I became a store manager for five years. In 2006, I was promoted to a District Manager and transferred to Columbus to open two new Ashley Stewart stores. Janine Starinsky is the administrator she earned a master's degree in health administration from the University of Scranton and she has been in the facility for 18 years advocating regarding the need of Alzheimer population and she is certified dementia practitioner as will as involving in Alzheimer association since 5 years. When I asked her about her leadership style she stated that her style is mix of different administrative style depending on the situation “ very directive when it is regulatory matter or safety matter to avoid citation. I’m usually visionary when it is time for budgeting, evaluation, training, or economical struggle. I tried to guide the staff to better themselves in their personal and professional life. I managed by affiliating because I’m always people first I’m not do it my self type I’m let’s do it together. Leadership: When Tandy Gerelds decided to do a preseason camp in 1973 even if his players didn’t want to do it, he acted as a leader and forced them to do it. He organized it to bring his students closer. On the other hand, he had a lot of leadership every time he was coaching, during the practices and during the games.

Julie has some advantages of becoming a supervisor of the group she has been a long member in. The main advantage I see is that Julie knows the issues she and her friends noticed as staff nurses. She has heard her friend’s opinions and frustrations with the job, which allows her to have a better idea of what issues to address. She also can ask her friends what they would like to see changed, which may allow her friends to warm up to the idea of her being in a higher up position because they are being included. The textbook, Leadership for Health Professionals, explains that it is important for leaders to take time to understand the people who make up the workforce (Ledlow and Stephens, 2014, p. 7). Julie has taken a vast amount of time to understand the nurses and it will be an asset in her leadership.
