When reading “AI in Clinical Medicine and Dentistry” written by Milan Miladinović and several research scientists from Serbia has a very effective rhetorical approach. Artificial intelligence can be defined as the process of robots doing tasks that a human would require to do. This source of information is a highly scholarly source since it is writing by many scientists in the field of medicine. The article “Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Medicine and Dentistry” provides several points to show how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beneficial to the medical community. The purpose of this essay is to be persuasive to tell people about the humane benefits that it would make easier to society. The audience of this source may include, but …show more content…
The author condenses the article into three main pieces: The Concept of AI, Overview of AI application in Clinical and Dental Medicine, and Suggestions for Possible Further Research Questions. Miladinović’s sense of organization is very specific when talking about why AI has major medical benefits. The author does a great way of showing this when in the paragraph “The concept of AI” he does not define the term “AI,” but instead describes what it is. Miladinović uses a friendly tone when he talks about that “AI has to be able to decide whether and what degree pieces of information are true” (Miladinović page 268). The reason this can be viewed as a friendly tone are that it isn’t negative when talking about artificial intelligence, but referring to how these robots could think critically like humans. He also has information that is very positive when he starts of a sentence that “AI requires excellent classifier behavior” (Miladinović 268). In this paragraph the language is more about how the author feels about artificial intelligence, but not a lot of actual statistics. There is not a whole lot of actual scientific data, but does a good job of defining what AI …show more content…
Also in this paragraph, the author is giving an example when he talks about an experiment “regarding the presence of anemia as the consequence of iron deficiency” (Miladinović 268). His use of statistics can be viewed as persuasive, since there is actual clinical trials that are put in to the paper. Miladinović does a good job of this when he discusses “clinical data from 20,000 patients of Royal Marsden Hospital” (Miladinović 269). His type of organization is very effective because he goes over multiple clinical trials, and experiments that have made AI effective. Another way that the author is persuasive is when he talks about how AI can understand the reasons for tooth extraction. Miladinović hopes to make the audience feel that the robotics are human when he says that the AI knows what it is doing. He is effective because he says that “60 % of silicate dental cement restorations were replaced as early as 5 years after initial placement” (Miladinović page 269). What he means is dentists successfully detect new caries in their new patients compared to old patients with the process of artificial intelligence. This has a great organization because the author continues to use statistics to back up his argument. These are persuasive since the author uses specific numbers to talk about why AI is worth looking at. The last paragraph when Miladinović talks about
As my peer @aliriad mentioned above me, Dr. Farmer emphasizes the advantages of teamwork to achieve something meaningful. The Mirebalais Hospital his organization built in Haiti is not only an example of overcoming “failures of imagination,” but also an example of working together. He knew he could not accomplish such a massive undertaking on his own so he connected with former students, congress members, classmates, and construction companies to create a plan for the hospital. In one speech, Dr. Farmer advises the graduates to “harness the power of partnership.” This is why he calls his organization Partners in Health.

As you requested at our September 25 meeting, I have research numerous techniques of keeping health care information organized. The program that has been used for years to keep the patient’s health record protected, seems to have numerous of glitches. As many of you know we are known for keeping our customers at our best interest, I would appreciate your input on which programs would you feel comfortable working with.
The Center for Disease Control or CDC is our nation’s health protection agency. Our scientists and disease detective’s work and travel around the world to track diseases, research outbreaks, and respond to emergencies of all kinds while providing essential information through technology to inform the public or direct target of appeal. The CDC collaborates with like -minded people around the country and the world, to scientifically collect and create prevention strategies to protect our nation. The direct motive from the website is the details, which the CDC educates about ADHD; treatments, diagnosis, different types of ADHD, as well as signs and symptoms, as a child ages to adulthood.
When I call my doctor’s office for an appointment, I expected that they will welcome me with a nice smile and nice talk. I also expected that they will ask me any concern about my health that way the physician will know about my health. I also expected that ,I may wait at least 10 minutes when I got there because I use to go to my family doctor and I always punctual but they didn’t call me on time. Sometimes I waited them for at least 10-15 minutes. I believe some of the important questions should be asked of the patients will be the following: How long has this been going on for? Are you allergic to any medications? Do you have any non-medication allergies? How would you describe the pain? How did the pain start? What do you think made you
Artificial Intelligence is the taking over of machines to do tasks that would normally require a human to do. The idea of artificial intelligence has been around for years, appearing in movies and television shows to show what the future might bring. Artificial intelligence is becoming closer to a reality and now society must question if it should have a role in society. Artificial intelligence has many flaws at the moment making it impractical for use until society can address the issues facing it like the loss of jobs and how to control the use of AI.
Recently technology has become a significant part of society, specifically for the medical field. People in the past have expressed concerns about the security and safety of implementing artificial intelligence (AI) into the medical field. Artificial intelligence is a computer system with human capabilities, such as decision making. Research has shown that AI could increase the efficiency and quality of patient care in the medical field. AI could greatly improve efficiency by using software that can analyze all of the symptoms the patient has and the patient’s family history in a shorter period of time than a human doctor could. For the time period from 2000 to 2010 the conversation about artificial intelligence was focused on the ethical
Artificial intelligence has been a hot topic since the invention of artificial intelligence. Many scientist and humans, in general, believe that artificially intelligent robots would want to rule the world and overthrow the human race. Something as simple as Siri or Corona could get too smart, and eventually, want to get rid of humans. Many sci-fi shows are based on this ideology. However, based off of this article by Tim Oates, artificial intelligence is one problem we should not worry about. In his article, Oates was able to relieve everyone’s anxieties they may have had, and he did so persuasively. Oates used many different rhetoric strategies to do so, but overall he used pathos, sarcasm/irony, and ethos He was persuasive in communicating his argument because of use of pathos, sarcasm/irony, and ethos.
Throughout its history, artificial intelligence has always been a topic with much controversy. Should human intelligence be mimicked? If so, are there ethical bounds on what computers should be programmed to do? These are a couple of question that surround the artificial intelligence controversy. This paper will discuss the pros and cons of artificial intelligence so that you will be able to make an educated decision on the issue.
Artificial intelligence has become a big controversy between scientists within the past few years. Will artificial intelligence improve our communities in ways we humans can’t, or will they just cause danger to us? I believe that artificial intelligence will only bring harm to our communities. There are multiple reasons why artificial intelligence will bring danger to humanity, some of them being: you can’t trust them, they will lead to more unemployment, and they will cause more obesity.
Machines with AI could be used in medical facilities to diagnose illnesses or to search for symptoms or the presence of anomalies in the bodies of patients (Keiser, 2017). Doctors constantly lament the delays in diagnosing diseases in a developing country. The use Artificial
Artificial Intelligence is a topic within the public media that has existed for decades, but is now a concern due to the reality of human advancement and innovation in the field of science and technology. Many people believe that computers will become self-aware or sentient and view humanity as a disposable resource and gain supremacy. Reasoning that research on the technology should halt and not become more advance. Whereas others believe they will help catapult research and the economy forward, supporting the operations and innovations the technology offers. The complicated and divided solutions to the debate aren’t obvious, but there are more benefits to improving artificial intelligence than there is stopping it. Therefore, the negative effects people believe will occur can be resolved.
Computers are everywhere today. It would be impossible to go your entire life without using a computer. Cars, ATMs, and TVs we use everyday, and all contain computers. It is for this reason that computers and their software have to become more intelligent to make our lives easier and computers more accessible. Intelligent computer systems can and do benefit us all; however people have constantly warned that making computers too intelligent can be to our disadvantage.
The term “Artificial Intelligence or AI” is no longer an obscure term to us. Being surrounded by smart and intelligent devices in our everyday life has made us aware about this technical jargon called “Artificial Intelligence or AI”, which is used to refer to machine intelligence in the field of Computer Science. As artificial intelligence continues to progress, machines are becoming smarter and more efficient than human beings. So, people are getting more concerned and apprehensive regarding their jobs after witnessing their jobs being replaced by robots and machines. Artificial Intelligence replacing human jobs frequently gets media attention and it has been made a huge deal even though it is not. AI gradually taking all our jobs and destroying the economic system is just an absurd and exaggerated claim made by few media outlets and self-proclaimed tech pundits. On the contrary, AI has potential to help us to get better at our jobs and create more job opportunities in the long run.
