Toys “R” Us has been around for as long as most of us can remember. In recent news, their company has taken in a 1-billion-dollar loss. Toys “R” Us has been doing everything in their power to try to recoup all of their losses and have made some progress but they are still not out of the hole just yet. According to PR Newswire, Toys “R” Us have raised more than 5.4 million in their efforts to climb back up. This was a fundraising campaign called “The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation”. This is not only a great stepping stone for the company but also great publicity for their company. On the other hand, Toys” R” Us has also aimed to public after going private in 2005, which is predicted to raise 800 million for their company. Unfortunately, because

In the op-ed “Truth is in the Ear of the Beholder”, columnist Gregory Rodriguez explores the ways rumors form in accordance to our beliefs and anxieties, in order to bring light to society’s hypocritical and biased acceptance or rejection of rumors and conspiracy theories. Rodriguez argues that rumors only thrive in the minds of people who are willing to believe them. He then goes on to state that those who start rumors rely on the current beliefs and biases of their intentional audience.

Costco may have awesome pizza, happy employees and heaps of cheap, wholesale products, but they also sell poison. That's right, amongst the miles of shelf space selling your favorite goods are pockets of poison. Here are five to look out for.
Through my experience in the toy department of Wal-Mart I have learned that no toy is manufactured unintentionally but that each has a purpose and a targeted audience. This conclusion was made through my critical analysis of marketing, colour choices, layout, and cost in regards to the toys. As I strolled through the three aisles, sections of toys began to blend together as it was organized in an orderly manner; separated by colour choices and characteristics. As a result, it was made evidently clear which toys were being targeted to which specific sex. Moreover, from the flyer to the bright, over-the-top graphics, the marketing methods were very persuasive and convincing to children and parents alike. In addition, Wal-Mart used sale methods to draw customers to their products. These sales worked to promote the product to parents as well as reach families of different socio-economic backgrounds. However, despite their effort, the products within Wal-Mart do not achieve the reduction of the economic gap due to the separation of one product set, which increases overall cost of that whole product. In conclusion, Wal-Mart’s Toy Department worked to convince children and parents alike to need and want their product in addition to instilling societal gender stereotypes and sustaining economic inequalities.
With multiple funding and aiding organizations, Toys for Tots is able to get its job done every single year. Organizations like the Department of Health and Human Services aid the foundation in raising awareness (Toys). With allies such as these; the foundation has a far reach to accomplish its goal of good will. Fundraising groups like SaveWealth aid the foundation by raising money so the foundation has more resources to accomplish its tasks. With more resources, more kids have a smile on their face for the holidays. It’s not only big companies that are involved though; the little guy makes a huge difference as well.

Threat of Substitutes- Toys R Us has a potential threat from other companies that have similar products that will satisfy their customer’s needs. (Hill, 2015 p. 58) Walmart, Target and Amazon are just a few of the companies that offer either the same or similar products as this company, therefore making the availability of substitutes very high. These companies have a competitive advantage because their products are usually priced lower than Toys R Us. The strategies that the company used in the past which was low price, low service was fine in the beginning. But now that concept is outdated and has run its course. Today Walmart and Target are cheaper and the other local toy stores offer better service (Anonymus, 1999 p. 192) Our society has evolved and things are changing rapidly. Today almost everything is virtual, which means people tend to shop online more. According to Keldy Ortiz’s interview with a mother, Bonaldi from N.J., she said “Half of the toys end up going to Amazon”. This parent as well as others were upset to hear of the Toys R Us bankruptcy, but she realized the reason why they made the decision was because “If you go online, everything is cheaper” (Ortiz, 2017 p. 1).
There is not much information on when Muslims first arrived in America, but there has been evidence that some of the slaves were Muslim, but didn’t have the ability to practice their religion freely, they also tried to accommodate their faith with Christianity, but others were converted. It was about twenty percent of the slaves in the US were Muslim. One of the first known Muslims in the United States, was a slave from Morocco, named Estevanico, who was shipwrecked with Spanish Explorers near the where the city Galveston, Texas is. After that there weren’t many Muslims coming into the United States until the twentieth century. This is shown by the evidence that one of the first mosques was built in North Dakota in 1929, and while the mosque was demolished a Muslim cemetery still stands near the spot of that mosque. Islam started in the 7th century with a prophet named Muhammad. It is an Abrahamic religion, like Judaism and Christianity, but Muslims believe that Islam is a step further than the other two religions.
Toys R Us' financial troubles are not new. As part of a broad reorganization, the Wayne, N.J. company, who at one time was the nation's second-biggest toy retailer, decided to close their Kids R Us stores and sell of its Imaginarium stores, which sell educational products and be left with Toys R Us and Babies R Us. There are different ways how Toys “R” Us can reach profitability by obtaining customers year-round. The company should appeal to its established historic customer base that will respond to its stores because of their loyalty to the company. The company can do this by opening new product lines. They can focus on obtaining products that are high in demand by their competitors. They can use their already established company popularity to obtain strong supplier relationships for the additional products. These will supply the company with an additional source of income and the
