Hannah Wear Mrs Hartzell and Mrs Wolf Pro-life Essay 10/18/17 WHY SHOULD PEOPLE BE PRO-LIFE Abortion is a very serious situation in the world. It is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy. There are many reasons why women abort their babies but none of these reasons are valid. Therefore, mothers should think of other ways instead of termination. These innocent babies are victims in the womb. Abortion needs to stop because it is clearly wrong to kill our children, our faith teaches us otherwise, and we should protect human life. It is not right to kill our own children. Conception is the beginning of every new life. These are tiny humans that deserve to grow and be born. Mothers should want to keep their babies safe and comforted. How do women feel after they realized they killed their child? …show more content…
Yet, women have the option of killing innocent human beings by aborting them. It’s dreadful and ignorant and more people need to start protesting and educating themselves in order to end this once and for all. Pope John Paul II says “America you are beautiful...and blessed...The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life.” Life is sacred, and we must seek to protect all life including the unborn. Abortion is one of the most controversial social, religious and political topics of our times. The government and church debate on this issue and people differ in opinions depending on their sex and faith and agendas. It is quite scary and disturbing. Every year we fight to win this war against abortion through awareness and support. God is on our side and the babies’ sides. With hope and love we can stop this awful killing, follow our faith, and protect the lives of our
Why should any female be forced to carry a baby she does not want to keep? Abortions have been legalized since 1973 in the “Roe v. Wade” decision. And upholding that was the “Right To Choose” which referred to the pro-choice stance. With the evolving moral standards of society, abortions are becoming more and more justified. Abortions, the practice of removing a fertilized egg from a mother has become a controversial issue in the country, should be allowed because she might not be in the place for a child, could have an unsafe abortion, and may be a rape victim.
One of the biggest controversies currently talked about is abortion. Are you Pro Life (Believe abortion should be illegal) or Pro Choice (Believe the government should not get involved in abortion laws)? My opinion on abortion is that after 20 weeks abortion should be illegal and there should be a limit on how many abortions a person can have.
According the Merriam-Webster dictionary pro-life is defined as, “opposed to abortion.” However, through my Catholic education I have learned that being pro-life expands to other topics rather than just abortion, such as human trafficking, genocide, ethnic cleansing, the rise of ISIS, clean water, and euthanasia to name a few. While I may agree on a moral level with the pro-life stance on several of the issues listed above, I would not classify my beliefs as being pro-life. I do not believe that one has to be pro-life, simply a halfway decent human being to understand the unjustness in human trafficking, genocide, and ethnic cleansing. Such crimes are especially heinous. Nor does one have to be pro-life to understand the repercussions of ISIS taking control of the
Abortion in general is a very controversial topic although it is legal in places around the world. The pro-life philosophy regarding abortion has to deal with the right of the baby or fetus to live against the mother’s reasoning as to why she wants to abort in the first place. The pro-choice philosophy has to do with the mother’s right to have a say and choose as to what she wants to do with her body because after all, it is her body and she should have freedom of deciding anything she wants when it comes to what she wants to do to her body. The topic of aborting an innocent fetus has been overwhelmingly controversial in the United States. The two sides to this ongoing debate is pro-life advocates and pro-choice advocates. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus; whether it is an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. Abortions are most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy and can be performed as a medical or surgical procedure. Medical abortions include two types of abortion pills; while the surgical procedures include vacuum aspiration and dilation and evacuation. Ultimately, I am one of the many “pro-lifers”, and I strongly agree that abortion should be illegal because it negatively affects our people. Women across the nation are becoming impregnated and following a short amount of judgement time, turn to abortion to solve their problems but in the end hurt themselves with this decision. Abortions should be illegal because it is immoral and unconstitutional, causes severe mental and physical issues, and negatively impacts the economy. “During the ancient Roman times it has been supposed that abortion and the destruction of unwanted children was permissible, but as our civilization has aged, it seems that such acts were no longer acceptable by rational human beings, so that in 1948, Canada along with most other nations in the world signed a declaration of the United Nations promising every human being the right to life”
Have you ever wondered why abortion is such a debated topic. How some politicians use it as a political ploy and others are completely against abortion? Also, if the supreme court says abortion is legal, why have many states added so many restrictions and rules to it. If abortion is legal, why does the government try so hard to make women feel like it isn’t. When did it become ok for the government tell women what and what not to do with our bodies and made our decisions for us? These new abortion restrictions makes it even harder for women to have an abortions, then it already is.
Did you know 80% of women abort their kid if they have down syndrome? Abortion is where they end the baby’s life well it is still in the womb. Abortion has been an issue since the 1960’s and continues to grow today. About 1/4 of pregnancies end in abortion and 1/3 of americans before the age of 45 have gotten an abortion. ( (Guttmacher.) Abortion should be illegal considering the reasons for it, ethics and medical effects.
So many lives are being taken away for the most deranged reasons. From shooting, to drunk driving, and to even living an unhealthy life. What about ending a life of a child who hasn’t even got a chance to see it? The fetus, being a person, has a right to life just like the mother has the right to life, (J.Hadley, 1996). In Chile, abortion is strictly banned and there should be no expectation for the life of the mother. Also, in Asia women go to prison for having an illegal abortion even if it was caused by rape. Directly killing an innocent person is considered murder which abortion is considered as well. In some views of the world having the right of living includes having a right to be given at least the bare minimum a baby needs to continue its life, (J,Hadley 1996). The fetus’s moral and value as a potential person should be taken in consideration before a woman makes her decision. No woman should bring a baby into the world that can’t even raise nor take care of. Yes, accidents happen, but that doesn’t mean you need to end the life of your first child because you aren’t ready. Everything we go through as a human beings happen for a reason, so why kill your own gift you created? We are put on this earth to procreate which means we continue to make the future generations. At the start of your birth you are already emotionally connected with your child and the moment should

Abortion and the right to choose raises a lot of issues, questions and concerns that are debatable. Specifically, the right to choose to have an abortion is a very popular subject that has been up for discussion all over the world. The same right to choose varies from state to state and country to country, around the world. In some countries, like the Philippines specifically, there is no right to choose because abortions are illegal and considered a criminal act with no legal exception (sexandswnsibilities.com).However, in other countries, like the America, abortion is not illegal; but it is shunned upon. “Denying women access to safe and legal abortion is a means to control women’s bodies, propagating subordination of women where women’s decisions, including personal decisions, related to pregnancy and childbirth are totally disregarded” (www.rappler.com). The decision to have an abortion should be a personal choice, thus a right to choose.
Over 56 million unborn children have been killed, more than the entire population of a country. That is around 155 babies per hours, about 1 every 24 seconds. Our moral senses allow us to recognize that all innocent human being should be afforded protection under the law. A common example is the properly basic belief that the physical world is real and our physical senses are reliable. Any time a family member dies, the rest of the family is affects and also this is true abortion. A real, living, unique child kills, and the parents and siblings are damages. Many women who done abortion just to convince their guys to stay with them. Abortion is never the answer to a successful and loving relationship. Abortion is the consider killing of the
When it comes to causes of death, things like heart disease and cancer come to mind. Those are the top 2 causes of death in America, according to the CDC. Each illness kills several hundred -thousand per year. There is something that kills multiples of what those illnesses do. It’s Abortion. The World Health organization estimates that are between 40 and 50 million abortions per year worldwide. Abortion must be banned completely because those are still human lives being taken. Every person, born or not deserves the right to live.
Abortions is a cruel way to kill the babies because the parents do not want them. Therefore, abortions should not be allowed for many significant reasons. This should be a topic that everyone to understand so people can put a stop to it. Abortions should then be banned in the United States of America.
The slaughter of innocence has begun ever since the year of 1973. The Constitution permits abortion legalization. It’s not in the Bill of Rights or the Constitution, but the right to privacy and reproductive rights is an “enumerated right.” The Supreme Court legalized abortion in the first trimester. Since then over 35 million pregnant women have had legalized abortions. One will agree that they are living life in full potential and will say that they are loving life, but some will not realize that there are also others who have not experienced a life and others that have died before taking their first baby step. Twenty-five percent of pregnancies are constantly aborted and forty-one
Imagine that each day that you wake up, thousands of people have been arranged to be murdered. Well, that’s actually the case. According to the National Right to Life, nearly 4,000 abortions are performed daily. When you think about it, that’s a great deal of unborn children that are just “discarded” or erased, like a sheet of paper containing an awful mistake. An abortion, by definition, is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of a human embryo or fetus (spontaneously or by induced expulsion). Abortions have been performed for centuries, and surprisingly, are still legal today. Women shouldn’t be given the choice to terminate a pregnancy due to the availability of family planning services, number of families wanting to adopt, and the post effects of the procedure.
