There was once a time when if said that you rode mountain bikes, people would know exactly what you mean. These days though, there are many types of mountain bikes, and distinct disciplines within the world of mountain biking. Mountain bikes used to be rigid, in fact there are some people who still ride rigid mountain bikes. But now bikes come in all different form of suspension from long travel to short travel, from hardtails to full sussers; we’ve got the lot.
Sport Mountain Bikes
For those riders who wish to cycle into town on a saturday, then maybe hit a canal tow path, then up the ante and ride some trails at the local country park there are some great bikes on the market. Trek call these bikes their “Sport” range. The Marlin for men, or Skye for women cover all of the above. They have aluminium frames for lightweight advantage and front suspension forks to soak up those bad roads and lumps in the trail ahead.
Some mountain bikers like to wear Lycra without baggy shorts, they drink electrolytes and suck on energy gels after 25 km around some single

Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, better known by his stage name Kenny G, was born on June 5, 1956 in Seattle, Washington. Motocross runs in Weston Kemper’s family. “I was given my first dirt bike when I was four,” stated Kemper. Kemper’s dad loves dirt bikes and has passed down the passion to Kemper, “Even when I was a baby my dad would take me on rides.” Learning from his dad, Kemper has grown into a talented motocross biker. Kemper spends his time riding dirt bikes at Finger Lakes in Columbia, MO. Currently, Kemper races in competitions locally from March to October. Kemper sticks to racing and has put tricks to a rest after getting injured in fifth grade. Once, while riding in fifth grade, Kemper was attempting a trick when he fell of the dirt bike and it landed on his femur. Kemper’s femur was broken in four different places leaving surgery mandatory. The
“Welcome all 2,500 competitors to the 2016 Tough Mountain Challenge!” I heard the emcee yell that over the speakers around the area and my chest seemed to vibrate with the noise coming from them. My eyes seemed to wander around to the many diverse faces lining up at the start. This would be my second year doing the race and I was both nervous yet excited to start. That day I overcame many hurdles both physically and mentally.

The book we read in class, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, has a very interesting character named Atticus. He is a very intelligent lawyer who takes a case to defend a black man. This man’s name was Tom Robinson and he supposably raped a young woman named Mayella Ewell. Her father, Bob, is a drunk and has a tendency to beat his children. The amount of racism in Maycomb county makes it nearly impossible to defend a black man against two white people, buf Atticus still tries. In doing so, he upsets Bob Ewell and he targets his children to harm them as payback. Many people say Atticus made a mistake when taking the case because he put his own children in danger but he was just doing things for the greater good, plus no one really got hurt. I think that it makes sense for Atticus to have defended Tom Robinson despite the dangers and risks it came it with because he just wants to
When visiting the REI website, the first image you see is a bike. This unconsciously drew me to the cycle drop down. REI breaks down their products into these categories, biking, climbing, paddle, run, snow, etc. Within each you find just about everything you could need for that activity. Other sites seem to creak things out into sports verses activity.
I think mountain bikes should not be allowed in wilderness areas. Backcountry biking damages the land. One reason is that bikers veer off of the trail just to keep from crashing, because they ride too fast. All mountain bikes belong on roads not on wilderness trails. Another example is when they ride on wilderness trails they can startle wildlife. Mountain bikers endanger horse-packers and hikers.
Breckenridge is home to an impressive array of mountain biking trails. Whether you enjoy steep uphill climbs or scenic loops, you’ll find them here. For the younger crowd, there are beginner trails to get them acquainted with mountain biking in general. Bring your own gear or hit up one of the many sport rental shops in town. For specific trail
Fat biking, a relatively new side to our beloved sport of cycling, but definitely one that should not be overlooked.
Bicycle consumers evaluate bicycles for their technology to include low weight, durable, stylish, and performance. Consumers are also concerned about price and service. Also the demographic of peer ownership will influence consumer purchasing criteria. Clearly the college in Colorado had a few select brands. Some manufacturers are fortunate to capture these traits within their brand. Trek has successfully secured 24% of the market and is a respected brand.
Current sport bikes were inspired and derived from their traditional core competencies such as engines with futuristic design and good handling.
When someone says starry night one might think of a night view with a lot of stars, which is exactly what the title suggests. But Vincent van Gogh was thinking of something different than just a night sky with stars, he painted something totally out of this world. This work of art is truly amazing and has a magical feel to it. If someone were to tell me when I was 10 years old that “The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh is an amazing work of art” my response would be “what is so special about a painting with stars on it?” I obviously had not seen the painting when I was ten but just by the name I thought what was so “amazing” about it. A few years ago my friend had an assignment where she had to go to the MoMa and I decided to go with her. After she was done we thought why not roam around the museum and see what else there is. While we were roaming we found an interesting piece called The Starry Night by Vincent van Gough and I was completely mesmerized. I have seen the picture online before and even on an episode of Doctor Who that made me cry a little; but seeing it hanging there on plain a white wall was just amazing. I think what Vincent van Gough was trying to say with this painting is that sometimes a person’s mind can be in a million places at once and that they are not alone.
