Since the optical imaging system makes the medical record concurrently available via the web or server, most of coders and chart analysis staff can work at home. Individual working from home must meet productivity and quality standards before this privileged is granted and retention of staff is very good. Contract coders are also able to coder remotely. This does decrease their cost and ensure quality of coding while at the same time emphasizing the volume.
The software will be installed on the server of the Virgo Hospital’s network using a CD. New versions of the software will also be installed on the server and then distributed to the other desktops computers and laptops.
Every single Medical Image is saved in DICOM file format. Therapeutic Imaging Equipment creates DICOM documents. Specialists use DICOM Viewers, Computer Software applications that can show DICOM pictures, to analyze the discoveries in the pictures. DICOM documents contain more than just pictures. Each DICOM record holds Patients data (name, ID, sex and DOB, etc.), essential procurement information (e.g. Modality, Body region, etc.), and connection of the imaging study that is utilized to interface the picture to the medicinal treatment it was a part of.
Grant proposal A was about implementing an expansion to ABC’s Alternative Breaks program to send groups of students to various communities around the country. Overall, I felt this grant was well written. This grant proposal is straight to the point, but gives enough information within most areas where clarification in not necessary. This grant proposal falls under the community service, and civic engagement categories. Although this grant proposal is for an expansion of preexisting program, I can see why they want to expand the program. The program is helps bring awareness to social problems, promotes physical activity, and helps entice people to engage in their communities. I feel that this expansion program would benefit communities,

The main reason institutions are switching to the new technology of exchanging health information is specifically to reduce costs and help improve health care quality. In this case study that is what San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center wanted exactly, to effortlessly exchange patient’s medical information. San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center which is a rural hospital in Alamosa Colorado is one of the many hospitals and providers that can benefit from this change. In 2004 AHRQ signed a contract to the University of Colorado Health and sciences Center, which later on developed a point-of-care inquiry system for four healthcare organizations in the Denver region. The system allowed emergency room clinicians within the four locations to exchange medical data. They were able to sufficiently and rapidly retrieve and send patient medical histories, x-rays, medication lists, and all problem lists. The AHRQ contract also help started the development of the
In our Canadian society, we without a doubt expect our police to uphold, respect and protect our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The title of peace officer, comes with power, duty, and rights. The state gives peace officers the power needed to execute their duty in a lawful manner. The duties of an officer are imposed by the state, and the officer has to execute them in a professional standard, meaning he or she has to respect and value the rights of the citizens. In order for police officers to uphold society’s rights, the police need to focus on proper procedures in order to achieve due process.
At the same time, the future of radiology represents unprecedented opportunities and challenges for radiologists. The articles clarify some of the potential aspects for future growth with regard to the utilization of IT in radiology. For example, many image producers believe that the report is the significant work product. To these individuals, the images are solely for the use of the diagnostic interpreter. From this perspective, distribution of images is unnecessary. Although radiologists, for the most part, have embraced the sharing of images, other image producers, such as cardiologists and pathologists, have not. Overcoming this perceptual hurdle is necessary to implement a comprehensive enterprise imaging strategy. The technological revolution enabling PACS has also created platforms for teleradiology. Because radiologists no longer require proximity to clinical colleagues or patients, teleradiology makes care possible in remote locations where radiologists may not be physically
There are a multitude of patient privacy (HIPAA) and patient information concerns related to the use of technology in medical care. Selection of the proper hardware, operating systems and system software make the compliance with and documentation in support of these regulations far easier.

Not only is this innovation good at saving lives it is also helping the economy by getting rid of competition. Even though some people see competition in the economy a good thing but it also has its downs that can really help some
Telehealth is the monitoring via remote exchange of physiological data between a patient at home and health care professionals at hospitals or clinics to assist with diagnosis and treatment. As our society ages and health care costs increase, government and private insurance payers are seeking technological interventions. Technological solutions may provide high quality healthcare services at a distance, utilize professional resources more effectively, and enable elderly and ill patients to remain in their own homes. Patients may experience decreased hospitalization and urgent care settings, and out of home care may not be required as the patient is monitored at home. However, no study has been able to prove telehealth
Medical software can record many things, such like the patient history, information, and many things, it save a lot of time to record this kind of information. So this kind of the software must be reliable, because it recorded a lot of patient information. So the secrecy of the software must be high, because it has to protect the information of the patients, so if the software is broken or the information outflow than the hospital will be sued by the patients or not be able to operate.
