I was only 10 and I’ve been playing soccer for 5 years. I was playing rec soccer and I enjoyed it. We had a great season and were undefeated. We wanted to win our last game to make sure we didn’t lose our last game. We were going against Union. They also had a good team. We’ve played them and beat them before, but we barely won. I arrived at the rec center and was ready to beat Union. I saw my team on the field kicking the ball around. I smelled the freshly cut grass. I could smell the popcorn from the concession stand. The other team was walking towards the field in their bright green jerseys. The coach was waiting for the rest of the team to arrive. A few minutes past and the whole team was on the field ready to play. We warmed up a bit and did a few drills. I were confident that we were gonna beat Union. We finished warming up and went to coach to get ready. The referee blew the whistle and called the captains. We picked tails on the side of a coin to see who gets ball first. The coin landed on heads and Union got ball first. I went back to the bench and sat down to relax. I talked with my friends for a while. Then, the ref blew the whistle. Union ran to the field and got in their positions. Coach talked to us a little bit more and sent us out to our positions. The positions I played were midfielder and defense. The coach put me in as a midfielder. The weather was looking great for a game. The sky was clear and the sun was out. We all stared at the ref and waited for
September 13, 2014, it was my fourth official varsity soccer game as a freshman and I was starting. I was put on outside wing, defending one of the strongest seniors Horseheads High School had and I was nothing but confident and motivated. All of the sudden I hear a few pops and a crack and I was on the ground and was unable to move my right leg. Complete shock filled my body and I did not know how to react; my older sister and my coach flashed in front of my eyes and I could not comprehend what was happening. Later that week I was told I had torn my ACL and I would be out of soccer for approximately six months.
On one fall morning, my mom and I arrived at the Hulmeville Soccer Tournament. There were so many teams that had great potential to win. My teammates and I Were excited to play theses teams and push our skills to the limit. Our soccer team won all five games that we played. Therefore we made it to the championship angist Hulmeville, one of the best teams in the tournament. The game started and there were no goals scored. Since it was the finals, we went

I was getting of the bus at Pike High School to start my high school soccer career. I remember being extremely excited and happy to finally get the season started. The team stepped off the bus and formed two lines to walk to the fields to warm up. I began my warm up feeling fresh. I got plenty of sleep the night before and I was not too nervous.

It was a hot summer day in Hammond, Louisiana and I was pouring down sweat like I had just jumped in a pool. The game was just about to begin, me and my team was eagle eyeing the bomb squad. It was so quiet that you could hear your own sweat hitting the bench. The umpire broke up everyone’s concentration by saying, “play ball”! The defense had ran out on the field and I started rolling ground balls from 2nd to short-stop to third base. They had all made good throws back to me and then I threw the ball into the dug-out because the game had begun.
It was a sunny and hot day outside and we were getting ready to go out for recess. I was sitting at my desk waiting for my teacher to tell us to line up. As she told us it was time we all ran to be first in line for going outside. When we got outside I wanted to play football and so did a few other kids. We had 7 people and we needed one more person to make it fair. There was only one other kid that could play and his name was Jack. Jack was a new kid who didn’t really have friends and wasn’t very coordinated, so when we asked him, he was hesitant on his answer but said yes. We had to teach him a bit about how to play, but he new some of it. Jack was on my team and the other team kicked off first. When we tried to return it, Jack just stood
Soccer is a popular sport played all over the world. Even though it has only been popular in the United States for the past 30 years, soccer has been a long time favorite most everywhere else. Soccer was a huge thing in my community so when one of my friends named Julio invited me to join his soccer team i got so happy i went to go buy new pairs of shoes to show them off and to this day i will never forget what those shoes were they were these blue and grey nike mercurial shoes. I went to my first game and that's when i met more people that also loved soccer like i did but they went to different schools so i didn't really know them. My team won the league and also the finals i was 8 years old when all this happened and as an award for winning the finals my team was rewarded with a huge trophy. What made that day the most memorable day of all is when i received a separate trophy and on the trophy it had written “Star player” that's when i
We were all set up on the field ready for the game, I remember closing my eyes forabout a minute before the game started, that minute felt like 10 years, I froze and thought aboutmyself when I was 3 years old and how I first fell in love with the game and how my ultimatedream was to become pro, I remember the hours of pain and suffering I put myself through tobecome the player I was today, I remembered waking up at 4 a.m. on school mornings to go forruns so that I could run longer in games,I remember skipping parties and hanging with friendsso that I could train, I remembered everything, but one thing truly hit me was how much soccerwas there for me growing up my parents argued a lot and when I was feeling sad and lonely Iwould go train at the fields and it would hell my sorrow. Growing up in a household when yourparents are constantly fighting is difficult, but soccer was my out lit it was my therapist. Duringthe time of their divorce I felt like I had no one but soccer so I decided I need to give back to thegame. Soccer did so much for me, so I wanted to prove to it that it wasn't a waste of time andthat I would make something out of the game. I opened my eyes and didn't feel human anymore Ididn't feel in control of my own body the sport had taken over me for the better. I remembermoments when I was running and it didn't even feel like my feet were touching the floor
People have always loved to play games. The human race has created hundreds of thousands of games to entertain themselves and to compete with one another. The most beloved games are those of physical sports. One of these sports, that has become a worldwide phenomenon, is the game soccer. The entire world gathers every four years to send out their best team, and to see which country is the ultimate champion. To play the game of soccer, there needs to be referees to ensure that the players are safe and are following the rules. Though this was once a highly respected position, in Virginia, working as a referee is no longer worth the time, due to a lack of respect, no support system, and the constant variations and changes to the rules.

My first experience with soccer came when I was 10 years old, accompanied by my mom. My heart beating so hard, excited to finally play for a soccer team. Kids all around me all in love with the game, with grass so green and freshly cut, looking too perfect to be real. With a brand new soccer ball, two goals set up on each side, who couldn't resist playing all day. I was speechless. Recalling holding hands with my mom, as we walked towards the field, a memory I would never forget. Throughout the game my mom would cheer me on, she was my biggest supporter.
aturday 1777, I had a soccer game. The games started at 12;30, as I arrived at the game, I kept getting nervous and nervous. The frogs were a really good team and this was a huge game to us. This game determined if we made it to the championship or not. I knew all of my teammates were going to give it their all and so was I. If we won, we were going to go to the web and later on that night, stay the night at amy's house. Everyone was counting on the best player, jessa. Jessa was nice and super smart. I really looked up to her. Our team had 14 girls on the team. Our team was one of the best teams, in the district. The game had started, the frogs got the ball first, we took the ball supper quick. We were up 17 points, when the other other team,
