Let’s face it, Valentine’s day is for people 20 and older. Everybody goes out with their significant other, has a nice romantic dinner, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! For me, Valentine’s day is a great day to watch movies, lots of movies! To have the best Valentine’s day ever, follow these three easy steps. One, put on nice cozy PJ’s. Two, make some yummy movie snacks. And three, pop in these movies…
Crazy, Stupid, Love
Rated: PG-13
This movie is awesome. It is about a man who after getting a divorce, decides to get help from a friend to find new love. That sounds like a typical movie, very normal. It’s not! With so many twists and turns, you would think you were watching the Kardashians, this movie is funny, interesting, and most of all crazy.

Benjamin makes a bet he can make a girl fall in love with him in 10 days. Andie has to write an article for the “How to…” section of a magazine, and decides to do “How to lose a guy in 10 days”. As you can imagine, when two people like this meet there is bound to be a great story. This movie is cheesy but, so lovable!
Blended
Rated: PG-13
After being set up on a blind date, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore never want to see each other again. But, when they purchase half of the same vacation they can’t avoid it. This movie is hilarious but, then again when are Sandler, and Barrymore together and not?
Life as we know it
Rated: PG-13
Josh Duhamel and and Katherine Heigl are set up on a date by their best friends and let’s just say it doesn’t go so well. After being named the joint godparents of their best friends daughter they become “friends”. Then, unexpectedly their best friends die in a tragic car accident and they have to raise their daughter. This movie is everything wanted and needed in a ROM-COM!

Soon, the boys single father starts to have romantic feelings for her, not knowing her occupation or how his son met her. You won’t know what to think about this movie once you watch it.
Just Friends
Rated: PG-13
Ryan Reynolds has been in love with the same girl all his life. When he tried to tell her, he got humiliated. Now, he has moved away, became a successful businessman and tried to forget her. When he takes a trip back home, he realizes he can’t and tries to make her regret not being with him. In doing so, he manages to do the opposite. But, still in the end he may find love. This movie truly is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen Ryan Reynolds in.
17 Again
Rated: PG-13
I don’t know what to say about this one! It is really weird. The most popular boy in school is dating the most popular girl in school and then she tells him she is pregnant. He decides to live out his life with her and their future child. When they grow up and get divorced he starts regretting his life. Then one day he wakes up as his 17 year-old self but, still in present day. He learns a lot through this
Secondly I would like to write something of a quick summary so that the movie can be better understood. The movie begins as many do as of late with a man, or to be more specific a bachelor. Of course
Sally's ex-boyfriend calls her and tells her he is getting married. Sally takes this pretty hard. She calls Harry and asks him to come over. While he is comforting her, they give in to the attraction they have had for one another and sleep together. Later they wonder about the wisdom in this decision. Sally tells Harry it was a mistake, and Harry agrees. Sally is then upset by this and gets mad. They drift apart for a while. They both miss one another. They finnally get back together and tell each other how much they missed them. They realized they were meant for each other. This is also common in
To me, it wasn't just about a love story but a whole scenario of love, tragedy, choices, and conflict. A rich girl with very demanding and social climbing parents and a young under privileged man with nothing to offer except love and stability. During the entire movie you are routing for love, but you are never really sure if that is where it's going to lead.
Then he takes us to the life of what we thought were a normal and ordinary couple named Chris and Rose. He then takes us through the steps of Chris getting to know Rose’s family and realizing that something isn’t right about being there. Peele shows us how a peaceful moment can turn ugly real quick. He constantly mixed the story line up with a dramatic scene and then a romantic or a comedy scene. Peele’s timed his moments so well in the film that it kept the audience wondering what was going to happen next.
The plot was interesting, and had everyone in the class on the edge of their seats. We all wanted Shannon Christie, played by Nicole Kidman, to leave her rich, arranged marriage, and marry Joseph Donnelly, played by Tom Cruise. The whole class loved the ending, Shannon and Joseph finally kiss and claim the land where they will live happily ever after. The movie shows the differences between Irish and American societies, the components of the different cultures, and elements from each sociological
In conclusion, this movie is wonderful in how all the actor and actoress with the director and playwright came together to create a real life event with comedy, gossip, and friendship. I rate this movie 4.5 stars out of 5 because of how much jump cut is created throughout the movie get you lost for a moment until you hear or actual see the specific holiday. For example, they create a strong symbol with the title Steel Magnolias because all the girls are delicate and beauty but also them being tough and strong with her emotions throughout the movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to know the true meaning of friends with fun, happy, and sad times because it just feels like it could happen to
I really loved this movie because when I watched it I wanted to be just like them. They were a young African-American couple who went through the up and down roller coaster of romance and being athletes. Quincy McCall and Monica Wright grew up in the same neighborhood after Monica family moved in the house next door to Quincy and have known each other since childhood. When they first met each other they didn’t really say anything they just kept looking at each other. Quincy was the best basketball player out of all his friends, so he was use to winning and getting any girl he wanted. Monica came down one day to play basketball with him and his friends she ended up beating him, which made him mad so he pushed her down on the ground and messed her
This classic move focuses on a single night in the early Sixties, the hopeful future of the main characters is followed by the events which occur. Steve (Ron Howard), and Curt (Richard Dreyfuss) will be leaving for college the very next day, the build up of years of hard work. Finally they'll be able to leave their small hometown and "spread their wings", experiencing life in ways they never have. Curt is unattached to anyone, but Steve will be leaving behind his longtime girlfriend Laurie (Cindy Williams), who happens to be Curt's sister. Also remaining at home are Terry (Charles Martin Smith), a fumbling nerd, and John (Paul Le Mat), an older kid with "the fastest
One of my personal all-time-favorite movies, The Proposal¸ directed by Anne Fletcher, is a drama/romance that illustrates “two people who weren’t meant to fall in love” (Lieberman, 2009). The following movie trailer assists in outlining the storyline of the movie and how a series of unforeseen events can change animosity into romantic love.
The film is sublime. It’s funny and insightful as it creates very different worlds for its two characters, and yet it doesn’t shy away from the harsher aspects of the lives of Mary and Max.
And if you do not like the same kind of movies, you look for something new, this is the perfect movie. If they have problems with love and with music like they write awesome songs, but they are scared of what the other people are going to think about them, you are scared to sing in front of other people, this movie is perfect for them. Even though you think that you are just normal people in this world, you can do awesome things and be an awesome song writer or a singer, or whatever you want to do, you just have to keep trying and never give
This comedy, drama displays a non-traditional family with very traditional issues of loyalty, fidelity, honesty, teens pushing limits and parents struggling to find common ground. Joni (18) and Laser (15) were both conceived by (IVF) from one sperm donor, the twist is their mothers are a lesbian couple, which Joni calls the “moms”. Nic is an Ob-gyn doctor and Jules, the homemaker, is starting a landscape design business, both are struggling with the fact that Joni is leaving for college in the fall. Laser, the only male, appears to be missing an actual male
Nonetheless, I’d recommend this book to not just people who are interested in romance but also to those who enjoy reading realistic fiction. The general tone of this book is light and comical so I thought that it was pretty amusing to read. And regardless of the possibility that the book may appear to be cheesy, the plot is to some degree relatable and the characters feel truly genuine. I personally can’t wait to see the movie as it’s reported to be currently
The short film entitled “The Most Beautiful Thing” is about a smart and lonely boy in high school who falls for a girl who is also lonely and has special needs. This film came out in 2012 and Cameron Covell is the director, writer, and producer of the film. It is only about 11 minutes long, but it conveys a very powerful message about love. This short film is a great movie to watch because many people can relate to the struggles of the boy (Brandon), it is amazing to see who he falls in love with (Emily) and how she changes his world, and the courage displayed by both Brandon and Emily at the end of the film is astounding and encouraging.
FILM CRITIC Heaven help the unsuspecting families who wander into "Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights" expecting a jolly animated holiday funfest. The holidays aren't very cheerful in Sandlerville, which is why the PG-13 rating mentions "frequent and crude sexual humor." The MPAA doesn't mention it, but there's also a lot of scatological humor in the film, in keeping with Sandler's inexplicable fascination with defecation, flatulence and bodily fluids.
