A long time ago in the year 140, there was a little girl named Khione. She was the niece of Zeus. Before she knew any better, she struck the city of Atlantans. She sunk the lost city. Zeus was furious; he was so mad that he would have killed Khione, but she was family, so he sent her to cave for eternity. 150 years later, Perseus, Hercules, and Odysseus went to a retirement home for old heroes. Khione used to live with Medusa, who was killed by Perseus. Then Khione found out she was enraged. So she decided to Rain Hell on Perseus.
When Khione got to Athens, where at the time Perseus was living, she froze Athens entirely. Hephaestus, God of fire, was able to unfreeze the retirement home for a few seconds. The heroes looked at the

“Yes, but it is the only way,” Zeus said.
“As you wish,” Odysseus said.
“Hurry we have no time, Hephaestus can only keep you unfrozen for a month at most. Also, you have to attack while she is above ground or you will fall because she can fly,” Zeus stated. And so they set off. They went to go climb Mount Olympus, where Khione was. As they climbed Mount Olympus the mountain finished freezing. They started to slip and slide down the mountain. As this happened Odysseus had an idea.
“Let's use the torches that Apollo lit by the sun to melt the ice,” Odysseus suggested.
Everyone agreed that was a mistake. As soon as Odysseus said that all the ice on the mountain turned to water. Then Perseus found some pillars above the water. Then Perseus found some pillars above the water. “I can carry us to the pillars so we can wait for the water to finish rushing,” Perseus suggested.
As soon as Perseus said this, he carried them up to the pillars. After 3 days the water finished, so now they can walk up the mountain. It took them 2 days to walk up to the mountain. When they got to the top they saw Khione sleeping. Hercules crept up to her and with a few foul blows, Khione was in trillions of pieces the size of atoms. Just then the statue of Zeus started to move

One afternoon Theseus was in his room when a little note was slid under his door and it told him to go down to the courtyard the crack of dawn and so he did. It was princess Ariadne who was going to help him defeat the Minotaur, she gave him a magical string that would help find his way through the labryrinth, the giant maze made by Daedalus and a sword. The next morning they were going into the labryrinth. As soon as they were in, it was dark and wet with bones all around. Theseus told one of the Athenian children to hold one end of the string when he set off. Once Theseus was deep into the maze he heard a rumble and he knew that was Minotaur. He ran in to the Minotaur with sword at hand it gave out a big groan. Theseus cut through it a couple more times to make sure it was dead. With a sigh of relief he walked back. At the entrance Ariadne was waiting to open the door to let them out. When the Athenians got out and quickly got a ship to sail back, but Theseus forgot to fly white sails so once King Aegean of Athens through himself off a cliff because he thought his son had died. After his death they named the sea after him, the Aegean
This shows the pride that welled up inside of Odysseus that made him shout across the sea before they could escape unscathed. This rash incident made Polyphemus, the Cyclops, enraged all the more, and he threw a mountain top at the sea making the water filled with waves. After the squall, and to make things worse, Polyphemus
The story goes something like this Kore the young Persephone was kidnapped by her uncle Hades on the word of his brother Zeus which gave him the permission to, anyway took her down to the underworld raped her and made her his bride.
As they got to the cliff Odysseus scanned the cliff looking for the monster, but he was unable to see anything because of clouds covering it. Then suddenly Scylla struck and sent six of Odysseus’s men into the sea. She then picked the men up and took them to her cave where she ate them. From his boat Odysseus could hear them calling to him one last time and he grieved for them. This is a very sad and scary situation that Odysseus went through on his journey, but during this time he still held his courage and calmed his
Next Odysseus and his men go to the home of Aeolus, ruler of the winds. Aeolus gives Odysseus a bag containing all of the bad winds and stirs up a wind to send Odysseus and his men back to Ithaca. However, Odysseus' men thought that Aeolus had given Odysseus a bag of treasure and thought he wasn't going to share the treasure with them. When Odysseus falls asleep his men open the bag and the winds blow them away from Ithaca back to Aeolus. This time Aeolus will not help them because he believes the gods hate Odysseus. Now Odysseus and his men have to row to the land of the Laestrygonians, a race of powerful giants, who turn Odysseus' scouts into their dinner. Odysseus and his remaining men retreat to the ships, but the giants pelt the ships with boulders and sink them as they sit in the harbor. Only Odysseus' ship escapes.
When Odysseus becomes trapped in the Cyclops, Polyphemus’s, cave, he realizes that now is the time to use his strategy rather than strength. It all starts with his ‘libations’ to the Cyclops. Odysseus consistently gives Polyphemus wine “to top off the banquet of human flesh [he has] bolted down!” which is the crew members that Cyclops has eaten ( 9. 222). The most crucial part of Odysseus’s plan is when he tells Polyphemus his name is “Nobody- so my mother and father call me” (9. 223). This particular name that he tells Cyclops helps him escape the other cyclops on the island. Once they stab Polyphemus’s eye with a burning hot stick, the other cyclops wake up to ask him if anyone else is in there with him. Polyphemus, thinking that Odysseus’s name is actually ‘Nobody’, tells them that ‘Nobody’ is in there with him, While escaping death from the cyclops, Odysseus also blinds the cyclops, and saves the rest of his crew. Odysseus chose to use his strategy in place of trying to use his strength which would not have helped him escape. In this situation, strength is no use, seeing as the cyclops is ten times as strong as him.
Odysseus’ good fortune angered Poseidon so he sent down waves to drown Odysseus. Poseidon, “the god of earthquake heaved a wave against him / high as a rooftree and of awful gloom” (Lines 365-366 Book V). These waves splintered Odysseus’ ship and just as he was about to drown, the nereid Ino saw him, gave Odysseus his cloak which made it impossible for him to drown and told him to swim to swim to Skheria. Odysseus swam for two nights and two days before he was thrown against rocks on the shore. Athena came down and saved him from dying on the rocky coastline. Odysseus was pulled back out to sea and after searching the shoreline he found a mouth to a calm river. He was pulled into the river and ended up on a bed of leaves on shore. This series of events shows Odysseus’ strength, physically and mentally, and shows how Odysseus’ quest tested him in many
There is yet one more difference between Odysseus and the other two heroes which may help to find the reason why his tale does not end
Although Odysseus places his men in a perilous position, he proves he is an effective leader by using his intelligence which results in the crew’s escape. Odysseus’ crew members suggests that they just take some of Polyphemus’ food and leave. However, Odysseus refuses the idea and decides to wait for the cyclops to return back to his cave and offer the crew gifts of hospitality. Odysseus states, “Ah, how sound that was! Yet I refused. I wished to see the caveman, what he had to offer” (lines 74-76). Odysseus’ plan to patiently wait for the cyclops to return leads to their treacherous position. Odysseus states, “He left his rams and he-goats in the yard outside, and swung high overhead a slab of solid rock to close the cave. Two dozen four-wheeled
In Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey, the Greek poet uses the language devices of imagery, diction, and epic similes, to encompass Odysseus’ role as an audacious leader who also strives to maintain his crew’s best interest at heart.
In beginning of the story, Odysseus doesn’t trust his men and thought what he was doing was right. When they landed on the island of Aiolia, which was ruled by the god of the winds, Aiolos. After staying there for month when they were about to leave Aiolos gives them a “bag of winds”, which Odysseus keep and doesn’t give his men to take a look at so they start sailing back. As they are sailing back Odysseus falls sleep and as they get close to Ithake, his men became curious and “opened
When Zeus and Hades retuned almost everyone had forgotten about Perculus, Diminutive and Gargantuan. But little did Zeus know Perculus had become good friends with Aphrodite (Goddess of love and beauty), and Aphrodite was wondering where he was. When she went to ask Hades where Perculus went, he panicked and made up a ridiculous lie. Then she knew something was going on. She then decided to search Hades lair. There she found Perculus, Diminutive and Gargantuan tied to a ship being prepared to be exiled. She then untied them and she then had them explain what was going on. Form there she obviously sided with the three gods. Diminutive and Gargantuan ran away to an unknown place but Aphrodite and Perculus got revenge by taking away most of Zeus education and diminishing the love life for Hades, both acts preformed by the gods.
