There are a lot of brilliant quotes in the world, they give us inspiration. “Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty. It’s not the time that matters, it’s the person.” This quote, from Doctor Who, is probably the best quote. It tells you not everyone lives their lives the the same, each person is different. This defines a lot of people and situations in a variety of different ways.
A lot of people live by certain quotes, it helps us stay focus on a goal. you only live once, so make it count is a big one. “Whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty.” Whatever life hands you, take it with respect and your head held high. Caesar brought peace, but the people didn’t always trust him to do so. “Julius Caesar brought peace to the empire, but some feared he planned to make himself king.” Whoever brings peace will not always be peaceful. Sometimes, power means violence, and it works sadly. “In 49 B.C.E. Julius Caesar marched his troops to Rome and

It’s not the time that matters, it’s the person.” people react different to it, so I asked my grandpa Dave about that quote and what it means to him. Dave loves his life, he’s done so much for family friends. “Love it. It is true, its not the years that count, its the person who lives it.”(Dave). He fell in love with this quote as soon as he read it, he has done a lot in only 67 short years on this planet. Everyone should just be happy and live. “Life is too short to waste it on little things” (Dave). Life is short, it can go by in a second. Dave was in the military when he was younger. “Living that life was difficult, but that was passed, not the present.”(Dave). David Gowen, an old man who has been through stuff even says you should never waste
In the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar the main character, Brutus, experiences many things that lead him to become a tragic hero. From the interactions between Cassius and Brutus, the two characters contract each other, Brutus’s character develops into a tragic hero, and the plot advances and a theme is also created.
The Roman senators all took part in betraying Caesar by murdering him. One of the main people involved, Brutus, held a funeral service for the deceased Caesar along with a brief speech. One of Julius Caesar's main companions who loved him dearly, Antony, also gave a speech that lasted much longer. After looking through the ethos, logos, and pathos mentioned in this story, it is obvious that Antony is more persuasive.
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” I try to live by this quote by Charles R. Swindoll every day. I feel that this is a strong quote with a lot of meaning behind it and, it can be interpreted in many ways. In my opinion, we should see things in a positive way all the time. We also should do what we love every day because you never know how close you are to the end.
Words hold more power than weapons. This is a very true quote indeed. There are many ways this quote is used in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. In this play, there are many people who make this quote true including Cassius, Marc Antony, and Brutus. This quote shows in the modern world also especially looking at Pope Francis.
Brutus is a devoted friend of Caesar and since they are such trusty friends, Brutus can lead Caesar to Cassius's trap without speculating anything because he thinks Brutus is noble to him.
The development of the characters help advance the plot in each passage by using the roles to use a hero vs villain theme for each story. This also shows how they are similar to one another. In passage one, the lion saves Androcles from the death sentence by refusing to kill him. In this case, the emperor would be considered the villain because he’s the one who initially ordered the death penalty on Androcles. Also in the first passage, Androcles helps the lion to get a thorn out of its paw, so he too could be considered a form of hero in this passage.
In the early 1600s, not many writers could write plays as mesmerizing as Shakespeare could. Born into a rich family of eight, Shakespeare attended grammar school where he would learn to write plays that enchanted people from any time. When experiencing Shakespeare, modern readers learn the beauty and intricacies of his works. Initially, in the novel Shakespeare Stealer by Gary Blackwood, Widge learns the grace of watching Shakespeare’s enchanting works. In the novel, Widge is sent on a mission to transcribe The Tragedy of Hamlet.
An anonymous writer once said, “ Life is about trusting your feelings, taking chances, finding happiness, learning from the past, realizing everything changes.” This quote reminded me of Scrooge the second I spotted it. I think that this quote has a very important meaning. Everyone can agree that this quote has a bunch of different meanings. I think this quote is a guide through life and everyone should follow this guide.
In the play Julius Caesar, there is one tragic hero. Many people question who is the actual tragic hero. Know that a tragic hero is a hero with many good qualities but one tragic flaw that leads to their inevitable doom. People question whether Brutus is the tragic hero or if Caesar is the tragic hero. To end all arguments, the tragic hero of the play Julius Caesar is Caesar. He gave money to roman citizens in his will, but and his tragic flaw of being too ambitious that leads to his death of being stabbed 33 times.
In the Tragedy Of Julius Caesar, Caesar was soon to be crowned king, after defeating Pompey. Caesar becoming king wasn’t the best idea and interest in some of the people eyes in Rome because they don’t think he is worthy enough to hold that type of power. Cassius was mad at the idea of Caesar becoming king, so he began to plot a plan to kill Caesar. His plan to kill Caesar involved a good friend of Caesar, Brutus and other loyal men and conspirators to make his plan work. So Cassius began plotting by convincing Brutus to join him and it worked, which was all Cassius needed to get close to Caesar. When the day actually arrives for Caesar to be crowned king their planned worked as Casca was the first to stab Caesar, and Brutus being the last person to stab Caesar and to hear the last words spoken from Caesar. After all this went down, Brutus went and spoke to the crowd and explained what happened and why they killed Caesar before being crowned king. The crowd agreed at first about Caesar needing to be killed until Antony spoke which changed everything and the crowds reaction. Now that the crowd had heard Antony, they want to kill the conspirators and who ever had a part in Caesar’s death. So now that you know the moral of “ Tragedy Of Julius Caesar” I will now discuss some examples of ethos, logos, and pathos.
“Life includes unforeseen incidents that prove critical to promote personal growth. Life rarely gives us what we want. We are lucky if life gives us what we need in order to fulfill the path that was in place at our birthing.” ― Kilroy J. Oldster, Dead Toad Scrolls. People will go through the journey of life. The life is not a destination but a journey. As people go through, they learn, experience, and gain. The journey of the life matters because the people can earn experiences and those experience makes people better.
In William Shakespeare's play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, two speeches are given to the people of Rome about Caesar's death. In Act 3, Scene 2 of this play Brutus and Antony both try to sway the minds of the Romans toward their views. Brutus tried to make the people believe he killed Caesar for a noble cause. Antony tried to persuade the people that the conspirators committed an act of brutality toward Caesar and were traitors. The effectiveness and ineffectiveness of both Antony's and Brutus's speech to the people are conveyed through tone and rhetorical devices.
Caesar or Brutus? Many people think that the tragic hero in Julius Caesar is Caesar, only because the title of the play. The real tragic hero is Marcus Brutus. There are many traits you can have to be a tragic hero, Brutus has at least three of them. In WIlliam Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, it is shown that Brutus is the tragic hero because he has noble stature, he has a tragic flaw, and free choice.
What I Think: I really appreciate this quote because of its overall message regarding basic morals of a person. I feel like people who live their life in a way parallel to this quote are the most successful ones, as they are not afraid to suffer in order to achieve their goals.
