Task 1A required students to read through the Australian Family Strengths Nursing Assessment Guide v2 and identify their family strengths in order to present to the class, an artefact that expressed those identified strengths. The strengths that I identified in my family were togetherness and sharing activities. Therefore the artefact that I thought best expressed these strengths was a little blue camp light. I chose the blue camp light because camping is really important in my family and the light is what enables us to be together. We use the light when we’re cooking, eating, playing games and communicating with each other. Consequently, the light allows us a chance to bond, share, laugh and enjoy each other’s company which forms the basis …show more content…
The presentations opened my eyes to how diverse today’s family unit can be and provided me with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the diversity of the family unit in contemporary society. Often people have an image built on assumptions of the ideal family, however families are dynamic and for health professionals it is important to always reevaluate what is considered family and to challenge any assumptions made (Barnes & Rowe 2013). The Australian Bureau of Statistics (2011) found that in Australia, 15.9% of families were one parent families while 44.6% were couple families with children. On the contrary 37.8% were couple families without children. As a result of such diversity in the family unit, family strengths are continually growing and changing. It is important for nurses to be able to understand this in order to successfully undertake a comprehensive family assessment and identify and help develop those identified strengths to increase family resilience and facilitate change in family functioning (Smith & Ford
In order to evaluate the improvements from these interventions, the baseline chart review was compared to a chart review conducted 2 weeks after the project initiation. Results indicated that documentation became more detailed, objective and factual and hand-offs reports also became standard with incorporation of Kardex and reflected increased accuracy.

This application will address the risks identified with the participants used, including recruitment and informed consent, as well as data and publication arrangements.
She was referred to a diabetes care team for specialist treatment and monitoring when she was diagnosed with diabetes as diabetes can’t be cured but treated. Because its on-going the treatment is to ensure that her blood glucose level is as normal as possible, to control her symptoms and to prevent health problems developing later in life. Because Rhea’s body doesn't produce insulin, she needs regular insulin injections to keep her glucose levels normal as diabetes can cause serious long-term health problems. For example, it's the most common cause of blindness in people of working age. Because of this Rhea is encouraged to have her eyes screened at least once a year for diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes is also the reason for many cases of kidney

Sandrae, your discussion board post covered all of the questions thoroughly and accurately. You provided a lot of detailed and well organized information, excellent job. The chart you provided was exceptional and the chart clearly highlights the differences between the structure, tasks, culture, and strategy of the learning organization and performance organization. Vertical and horizontal structures are very different. The horizontal structure eliminates the old school departmental boundaries of the vertical structure and the horizontal structure allows organizations to improve processes (Daft, 2013).
Global warming is not myth, but is a real thing. Scientists have proven that over and over global warming is real. According to scientific reports 11 out of 12 years have ranked among the warmest on record. This increase temperature has many effects on the environment. Global warming creates nature?s imbalance and it has big impact on weather. Global warming is big part of the reason for sudden heat waves, storms and floods. There are many causes for global warming, but two main causes are burning fossil fuel and deforestation. Both of these causes increase greenhouse gases in the environment which creates greenhouse effects, the scientific reason for global warming.
This is an assessment about Hickory County, Missouri population. The goal is to assess the effects of disabilities or homeless influences and the health literacy of a population. I choose this County because I have a lot of relative lives in this area, and I have been over this county to visit them so many times. This is a very interesting county for me to do a research on. For an accurate research data, there are several methods have been utilized to obtain assessment data, including media resources, call the county public health department, and run a search of articles from a local newspaper and records.
CNUR 300 Family Assessment Essay The purpose of the family interview on May 21st, 2017 was to assess a family that was unknown to the student using the Calgary family assessment model (CFAM) and develop health interventions based on the findings. To ensure confidentiality and family protection the names of the participants have been changed. I also believe you have to become aware of other people's feelings and emotions to be able to communicate empathy, as well as other emotions. Many people don’t try to relate to others because they feel they should put their focus on doing their job. You have to be able to show people that you understand what they are going through. We have to learn how to put away our thoughts and feelings and pay more attention to the feelings of others. The company will not be able to function properly as a team if they do not have an understanding of how to relate to the emotions of others.
Nursing is very complex and includes a lot of knowledge with many skills. One skill is particular is how we approach families as we care for their loved ones. Unfortunately, family does not have a true definition because it is so varied around the world (Sharma, 2013). However, there are four approaches to use with family nursing. However, with anything there will be obstacles and caring for family is often times complex. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the four approaches and provide examples.
This family value paper individual assignment will discuss the concept of family nursing that has developed into a fundamental aspect of nursing. Research of nursing has shown that individual poor health affects the entire family and not only an individual, plus, the effectiveness of health care is improved when emphasis is placed on family (Harmon & Hansen, 2001). There was no conceptual theoretical framework that was found in family nursing. Friedman, Bowden and Jones (2003), discussed the lack of a complete family nursing theory with their proposal “nurses must draw upon multiple theories to work effectively with
