These can be used multiple times but may also not be compatible with other PPE such as a hard hat, although you can get ear defenders that work very well with a hard hat.
Eye Protection – Is used when there is a risk of dust getting into someone’s eyes or an impact injury to the eye. There are different types of eye protection, safety goggles are made of a durable plastic and will stop both dust and flying debris from harming your eyes. Safety spectacles only protect your eyes from flying debris, these can be used when there is not a lot of dust for example cutting a brick with a bolster. Face masks are a rigid plastic visor that will protect your face from flying debris. They are commonly used with garden equipment like chainsaws and strimmer’s. They will not protect you from fine dust particles.
Gloves – Gloves are needed when there is a risk of damaging your hands or getting a chemical on them. Gloves differ in design, material and thickness. The correct glove should be chosen for the job after taking into account the possible risks. There are many different types of glove, from lighter material gloves which would be suitable if you are doing brickwork to heavier gloves that could be coated in different substances to give resistance to chemicals. You must also think about if you are going to need gloves that will protect your hands from cuts if you are doing a job and you are handling something that is sharp. Gloves will only have a

active listening is about giving your full attention and watching not just what is being said but how its being said. This can be observed by watching their body language, gestures and other signals.
Person centred planning is a set of approaches designed to assist someone plan their life with support. It is most often used as a model to enable people with disabilities or otherwise requiring support to increase their personal self determination and improve their own independence. It discovers and acts on what is important to the person.
I think that the Campus Information Centre on UT Arlington’s campus plays a pivotal role in helping students, guardians and information seekers to guide them through their any question about the university. When I was new to UT Arlington, I didn’t know the places and the buildings in the University, I went to the Campus Information Centre thinking that they might help me. But sadly, they also didn’t have much clue about the places in campus. I was quite in shock as they did not know where the fine arts building was and it’s direction. This is my main reason that I am interested in applying to this position as I could help incoming students and transfer students to be accustomed to the university easily.

2. Working according to the agreed ways means following the organisation’s policy and procedures in relation to pressure areas. It also means following the individual care plans and respecting the instructions in place. For example making sure a resident is turned every two hours, applying Cavilon cream on areas; fill in turning charts, prompt fluid intake. Under the duty of care a care assistant must always be aware of and raise concerns regarding possible pressure areas. Always record information in care plans accurately and in confidentiality.
It’s important that health and safety procedures are followed when using different types of equipment. The main focus is to keep a safe and hazardless environment for you and the people around you.
I achieve this within my role by ensuring residents and their families are informed, kept up to date and by providing clear choices. I will act as an advocate on behalf of the young people in my care, to ensure they are represented and heard.
Health and safety requirements, safe working practiced and procedures required for the hand fitting activities untaken include always wearing your personal protective equipment. You should only use equipment which you have had correct training on or on equipment which you being supervised using, you should always use the correct procedures when using this equipment. Before using any equipment you should know what to do in an emergency situation, and should know where they emergency stops are on all the machinery which you will be using, you should also know where and how to use the guards on these
The second provision in the code involves occupational safety systems, which will help in the tracking, reporting, and management of occupational illnesses and injuries. The last provision in the category involves offering of appropriate workplace and occupational health and safety training, which entails the use of written medical and safety warnings and provision of general information in a language that is easily understood by all workers (Wulf 76).
