Since beginning the study of Psychology at Xxxxxxxxx College, I have become more aware of, and involved in, the varied factors that impact human behavior. Even though my first subject knowledge was limited, I had long been inquisitive about such topics as, mental illness, memory stress and attachment. The chance to study these was what made Psychology at A-level so attractive to me, and as the course has advanced my concentration in them has developed and grown stronger. I have been especially enthused by the work of Loftus into eyewitness testimony, distinctive clarifications of mental issue, the physiological reaction of the body to disorders, and Freud's work on restraint. The momentous clarifications of acquiescence and similarity set forward by Milgram and Zimbardo were additionally captivating, albeit I have altogether appreciated being acquainted with all parts of Psychology.
My energy for Psychology will help me on my approach to success. Being taught in Psychology has dependably been a prevalent profit in the business world, whether it is working with buyers or showcasing another product. It has taught me about human communication and how our personalities function. Brain research has provided for me a more noteworthy cognizance of how

I also play five a side football routinely in a Manchester-based class and I am a social tennis player. My essential time of work experience was attempted at St Anne's RC elementary school as a classroom assistant. I feel my time here was exceptionally advantageous as it enhanced my capacity to work with others. I additionally discovered my time here to be of extraordinary enthusiasm as I had the capacity observe right hand the distinctions in social conduct between youngsters who went to day care at an adolescent age and the individuals who did not, an experience I had the capacity identify with my study
Lawrence fiddled with a toy while listening to the radio. After the broadcast was over, he softly mumbled something, though he generally kept to himself. I listened closely since his autism typically prevented Lawrence from stringing even two words together. He had recited the entire radio program, virtually word for word, even mimicking the tone of the broadcaster's voice. My jaw dropped. At that moment I knew that I wanted to learn more about Lawrence’s autism condition so that I could help him grow, but I also hoped to dedicate myself to studying the brain both from a physiological and psychological standpoint.
Personal Statement For as far back as I can remember I have always had a positive outlook on life. As a child, I was not fully aware of the troubles and hardships people faced. I always assumed that the people around me were, for the most part, content with their lives. It was not until my freshman year of high school when one of my closest friends disclosed to me that she did not want to live anymore, that this image I had of the world was challenged.
“It takes a village to raise a child.” I never quite understood that saying when I was growing up, but my experiences teaching and working in school settings have showed me how true it really is. Obtaining a degree in school psychology will allow me to give the support that students, families and educators need to ensure that every student will thrive.
dea of pursuing a certification degree for advancements in employment. The skills that are most critical to the success in my psychology specialization would be education and experience. Co-workers that are practitioners in the psychology field has served as a resource.

Students that desire to pursue a career in psychological therapy need to be focused individuals and they need to be willing to put in the work that needs to be done. I'm talking to students that are willing to do a lot of reading because in order to pursue this career you have to learn about people and how there feelings and emotions work. Student you don't need to be shy to ask a question because no question is a stupid question. That is the only way your teacher will know how to help you it is pointless to sit there in the classroom and not ask questions it is apart of learning. You also want to make sure that your GPA is not to low it needs to be least a 3.0 or higher maybe a little bit higher in order for you to get into any good colleges
People and the way they behave has always fascinated me, however, as I have grown older and more aware of psychology I have begun to question why people are the way they are, and why they do the things they do, myself included. The mind is an amazing instrument and it is my wish to explore and learn more about it. As a person with dyslexia, it has made me want to understand the way the mind works and the potential it has. While some people may consider dyslexia a hindrance, I believe it has made me yearn for more understanding and more knowledge. What draws me to study Psychology is the mental processing, and how it affects a person's current and future disposition and the decisions they make.
I am currently taking a Clinical Psychology Course in which we are learning about Martin Seligman’s concept, positive psychology. One of his developments is gratitude letters. Once I learned more about what gratitude is, I found it most fitting to write to you to express how thankful I am to have you in my life and the positive impact you have made on it. You have taught me so much about all paths of life. You have guided me to many incredible experiences and helped me with some of the most challenging. Without your guidance and love I would not be where I am today.
In Holmes 30, Critical/Creative/Independent Thinking, he is describing that a person is able to stretch one’s mind and allow someone to further learn more things. It takes someone to fully be able to understand the world. In order for the mind to grow the person needs to be willing to stretch the mind beyond the imagination in order for anything to make sense in the world and the liberal education can help get a student to that point. A person is capable of anything if they just set their minds to it.
My interest in psychology was sparked in high school by my psychology teacher, Mr. Cromwell. He was very passionate about the subject and very eager for us to learn. I still remember him acting out the process of a synaptic transmission. He was the first teacher that actively prepared me to be successful in college. He lectured like nobody’s business, never “dumbed” down the material, and his exams were always essay questions (which I can confidently say were harder than some of my exams in college). It was in his AP class, I first realized my curiosity of the mechanics of the human brain. After school, he would let me come back to his class and examine his preserved slices of brain and riffle through his massive collection of resource books.
As a first generation Asian-American student who tried my best to fit into the stereotype of a “model minority”, who should be having the “best” grades and getting into a medical career, I became interesting in psychology after taking an introductory course in my senior year of high school. All throughout my life I thought that being a psychologist is a person who just listened to people’s problems, but after taking this course, I found so much interest in this occupation, that I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology. What excites me the most about counseling psychology is the different therapies used to help the health and well-being of the clients rather than medicating the negatives of health issues. Furthering my education through studying a postgraduate diploma at a prestigious university will allow me to achieve my ultimate goal by impacting and improving the client’s lives. After becoming interested in psychology, I became interested in couple and family therapy especially in multicultural and their hope and resiliency.
Previously studying AS and A2 Psychology, I have come to realize how much of a passion the subject has become for me. Psychology has given me a wonderful opportunity to be able to gain a understanding of the insightful human mind, a concept in which I find extremely fascinating. Being an inquisitive person, I would love to take my knowledge of Psychology a step further, as there are still so many aspects of it that I am determined to explore. I have thoroughly enjoyed studying the many different topics and elements that Psychology consists of, especially when looking into Psychopathology. This aspect sparked a great interest in me.
When I first started studying psychology I realised the potential control I have over my actions and their consequences. Psychology has given me a new mind set, providing me with knowledge of how the mind operates and the thirst to discover more about this essential subject. Being a keen scientist, excelling in Biology especially, I have enthusiasm for experiments; they provide scientific evidence for theories as complex as human behaviour, which seem impossible to prove. Psychology has changed my perspective; now all behaviour has a rationale behind it and I find myself driven to discover what it is, often researching theories to add to the foundations provided in Psychology lessons. My new outlook makes reading for English Language and Literature
I’ve had an interest in psychology ever since I was fifteen years old when I learned that my grandmother suffered from depression, and that depression can be passed down genetically. I wanted to know more about the mysteries of the human brain and why people feel the way they do. To prepare to major in psychology at the university level I have taken all of the required courses at Los Angeles Pierce College. I’m also a part of the psychology club and have volunteered in numerous school club rushes to help promote our club and the importance of mental health. For my alternate major, gender studies, I have always had a passion for the equality of the sexes, even from a young age without realizing it.
No one thing sparked my interest in psychology; however, I can say that my first real interaction with it was the character Sweets from Bones and I loved watching what he did. It gradually grew after that with the more I learned and I started paying more attention to psychology. I had a hard time with picking a career when I was a child but the older I got the more I was able to understand what exactly psychology was and I fell in love with. I loved the idea of how we’ve barely even scratched the surface of our brains and how many more mysteries we have hidden, how people in the exact same situation can react completely different depending on how their brain is wired.
