In this week’s listening exercises, I found there to be much excitement and mood all in one movement. I enjoyed listening to all the pieces, but my favorite two were Eine kleine Nachtmusik (Third Movement: Minuet, Allegretto) by Mozart and Symphony No. 94 in G Major, Second Movement: Andante (Surprise) by Haydn. To identify, a project idea based on my work and personal life will involve motivating my sister in having a healthier diet. By way of example, I will encourage her in eating more fruits and vegetables to strengthen her immune system and lower her blood pressure. Additionally, motivating her to a healthier eating habit will not only help her wellbeing but strength my abilities as a care provider. Considering that, her diet now consists of high sodium foods such as ramen noodles and fast food, she has been more restless and stressed. The goal of parole is to reduce recidivism and help rehabilitate offenders. That is not always the case; offenders will reoffend anyways and be sent back to prison to finish out their sentence. I know this may sound odd but rereading an email before we send or rereading and email or discussion board before responded is how you can be an active listener electronically. Try not to jump to conclusions or be judgmental is keys to being a good active listener (Robertson, 2005). We all want to do well in the class. Being professional is important in all communication.
