Small toy dogs provide many advantages over larger breeds. They can adjust to small or cramped environs and most need less exercise compared to bigger breeds. Toy dogs can survive in smaller living areas due to their size, and will be perfectly happy if they can just frisk around even in small spaces. Toy breeds shed less hair, consume less food and dispose less poop. They can be brought almost everywhere because their size does not prohibit them from entering areas where larger dogs might be banned. You also need less grooming maintenance (from spaying, deworming).

However, if you will think that because of their size the toy breed wil automatically be easier to keep as a pet or require less maintenance – like say, maintaining a cat, you are greatly mistaken.
