The so called “designer babies” can prevent several genetic diseases such as Down syndrome, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, etc. This genetic diseases have been part of society since the beginning of time and until now there has been no way of preventing it other than aborting the baby when such disease is detected to spare it from the potential suffering.
