Topic : What is lucid dream and is it has a good consequences to the dreamers or not?
The curiosity towards this particular topic was challenged upon my anecdote, when one night I went to bed and fell asleep as usual but the difference was that I can realize that I was dreaming. Then, I attempted to, and did, fly. After waking up, I researched about the phenomenon on the Google and found out that it is called “Lucid dream”. The definition, according to the Oxford dictionary, defines lucid as ‘showing or having the ability to think clearly, especially in intervals between periods of confusion or insanity’, and dream is ‘a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep.’ In this paper, there will be explanation …show more content…

However, it is achievable skill that everyone can lean. Lucidity can be influenced by the technical practice; everyone can practice and become a lucid dreamer. The first tool for one to start lucid dream is called MILD technique. This tool requires that you rehearse a dream before falling asleep and visualize becoming lucid while focusing on the intention to remember and recognize that one is dreaming (LaBerge, 1980) Another one is WILD Technique or Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams.
