Muhammad was once someone that was ignored and shamed upon, but is now known as the founder of Islam and the vast empire of Arabia. Throughout his life, Muhammad persevered through many family and religious challenges, even when many people fought against his new religion.
In 570 CE, Muhammad was born into the Hashim clan in Makkah and was sent to live with a nomad family in the desert by his widowed mother. Then, Muhammad was sent back to the city of Makkah, where his mother soon died and he became an orphan. Soon, Muhammad’s grandfather, a respected leader of the Hashim clan named Abd al-Muttalib cared for him. Later on, the grandfather died and his uncle Abu Talib, a merchant and the new leader of the Hashim clan, cared for Muhammad. With his uncle at the age of 12, he went on a trading journey to Syria. When Muhammad became an adult, he became a trader and successfully ran caravans, leading to his marriage with a woman named Khadijah.
One day, Muhammad (who was very spiritual) went to the mountains and prayed in a cave at around 610 CE. As stated in the Qur’an, an angel named Gabriel told Muhammad that he was the prophet of God (Allah). Muhammad told Khadijah

Although many people became followers of Islam, some of the people in Makkah didn't like the fact that Muhammad might gain too much power in the city, or stop people from making pilgrimages to their city. Makkah’s powerful clans rejected Muhammad’s teachings and boycotted the Hashim clan. Although people in the Hashim clan were starving and Khadijah and Abu Talib passed away, the Hashims still followed Islam. According to the Qur’an, Muhammad went on a Night Journey and rode on a winged horse to Jerusalem. At Jerusalem, he met prophets from earlier times and then was guided through the seven levels of heaven (by the horse) and met
Elijah Muhammad rose from poverty to become the controversial, charismatic leader of the black separatist group The Nation of Islam. To this day, now under the direction of Minister Louis Farrakhan, the NOI has maintained a consistent record of racism and anti-Semitism under the guise of instilling African-Americans with a sense of empowerment. Charismatic ministers of "the Honorable Elijah Muhammad" campaign black pride, economic self-help, and moral uplift attracted large numbers of blacks to the Muslim movement, leading to the establishment of NOI temples throughout the country.
Muhammad proves the success of his leadership by spreading the knowledge and wisdom of Islam. For example, Muhammad began his first steps, after his encounter with William D. Fard, who was Muhammad's teacher who surprisingly disappeared, Muhammad would, creating organizations that would evolve in size. According to the article, “Elijah Muhammad”, it states, “He continued to preach financial independence for black Americans, racial separation rather than integration, and a strict code of moral behavior, (Biography, Elijah Muhammad)”, this is important because it shows the desire Muhammad had for his people, who are the black community. In addition, he later calls himself the messenger of Allah due to his mission. Furthermore, Muhammad would show off his profession of persuading by the teachings that inspires thousands of blacks. Muhammad demonstrates this by converting a handful of African Americans to study the way of Islam. He moves his teachings to the city of Chicago, which increases his organization with more loyal followers. Nevertheless, his leadership would be a significance to communities of Muslim and also future
As Muhammad got older, he became known as a very trust-worthy, noble and kind man. When Muhammad was twenty-five years old, he became a trading agent for a wealthy, noble lady by the name of Khadija. Khadija was so
I have gone through many experiences and journeys throughout my life. However, out of all of them, one stands out the most. That one journey that stands out the most is making the middle school basketball team. It was a two long journey that I will never forget. It all started seventh grade year at Sebring Middle School when I tried out for the basketball team. The whole month before tryouts, I conditioned and played basketball nonstop preparing for the week-long tryouts. Finally, the first day of tryouts came and everything went well. The second day of tryouts came, which is when they do the first cut, and I was lucky enough not to get cut. After the second day, the next two days were a breeze. Then Friday came, the last day of tryouts. At
Islam began in Arabia in the Middle East. Presently known as Saudi Arabia, this is where the prophet Muhammad was born, raised, lived, and died. The city of Mecca, his place of birth, is where he worked as a young boy. He preferred to be in a solemn place versus having company with him and would go off on hikes in the surrounding mountains, and this is where he heard from God through the angel Gabriel. He would teach of a monotheistic God to anyone who would listen. The Prophet Muhammad messages angered many businessmen who made a living from the worship of many idols. Prophet Muhammad teachings gained disciples, but also gained many enemies.

At first, the history of Islam is connected to Mohamed’s life. Mohamed was born in to a wealthy merchant Clan, which is now Saudi Arabia. On the other hand Muslims thought Islam began with God. Mohamed was raised by his uncle, because his parents and grandparents passed away. Mohamed lived the life of a Quryash Merchant then later married a girl by the name of Khadija. Mohamed started hearing voices and though he was going mad. But Khadija thought differently and told Mohamed that he was the chosen one. Mohamed searched for the true faith of Judaism and Christianity. Mohamed isolated himself in to the mountains near Mecca for retreat and mediation. Gabriel the Angel told Mohamed to recite the Koran. The Koran was only originally recited and not written down in one volume until after Mohamed’s death. This has brought controversy over the authentic composition. Mohamed’s wife was the first to convert.
The Muslim prophet, Muhammad, was born in 570 in the city of Mecca. Muhammad lived a normal life just like any Muslim, until he began seeing visions believed to be inspired by Allah. Muhammad believed that since Allah has already revealed himself to Moses and Jesus, it was now his turn to receive the final revelations. After receiving them, Muhammad tried to convince his people that the revelations were true, but most thought he was insane and crazy, or that he would upset the social and political order of society. As a result, Muhammad and some of his followers left to the rival city of Yathrib in 622. Yathrib was later renamed Medina, which meant “city of prophet”, as he began to win support from the residents in Medina and on the surrounding country side. With these people, Muhammad formed the first Muslim community.
Muhammad a prophet for our time is written by Karen Armstrong. This book is like a diary that tells the life of Muhammad and how he played a big role in the Islamic religion. Muhammad was born in the year 570 ce and died in 623 ce. Muhammad was a man who did not have much going for him, he couldn’t read and lived in a cave with his wife at the time. When Muhammad was reached down upon by Allah he did not know what was happening and why it was happening. “ he knew that some people expected the imminent arrival of an Arab prophet, but it never occurred to him that he would be the one entrusted with the mission.” (p.10). Muhammad was 40 years old when this happened and he lived in Mecca. Mecca at the time had many different civilizations and was a big trading center. Arabs at the time did not like this and kept moving from places to place to get something stable. Some of the Arabs even had settled in urban areas around Mecca. Society in Mecca was based on laws and traditions that even though Allah is the main god
A primary similarity between Aristotle and Plato is that they were both Greek philosophers. Plato’s philosophy is based on dissatisfaction of the world. He believed that philosophy was a practice for death and dying. He believed that the aim of philosophy is to transcend our attachment to the physical world, including our bodies. In contract, Aristotle believed the aim of philosophy is to not escape or transcend the physical world, but to make sense of it and understand it.

On the surface Muhammad is usually considered to be a prophet and messenger of God, but when looking closer we can see that He played many more roles in His life time including one of a Statesman.
For about fifteen hundred years, Saudi Arabia’s history has centered on one major theme: Islam. Muhammad, the founder of Islam, was born around 570 A.D. in the city of Mecca. Early in the 7th century A.D., according to Islamic belief, Muhammad, while meditating in a cave on Mount Hira, was visited by the angel Gabriel. Gabriel
The prophet Muhammad and Islam, brought about an age of unification for the people of the Arabian Peninsula. The initial response to Muhammad and his teachings were slow, but saw religion replacing kinship as the basis of a collective identity, however, he was a charismatic peacemaker who preached the divine revelations of the one true God – Allah, these would later become part of the Qur’an. Muhammad became a leader in Medina, and his followers became known as the Ummah (a single community of believers which transcends place). The Muslim people saw Muhammad not as a ‘divine figure’ but as the ‘perfect man’, he had so completely given himself to his divine revelations that he influenced Muslim society so fully that it enabled his people to live in harmony (Armstrong 2002, p.24).
As soon as Mohammad entered the world, he quickly began to experience tough moments and times throughout his childhood, starting with the death of his father when he was two months old, and following the death of his mother when he was six years old. After the death of both of his parents, Mohammad was taken in by his grandfather, who raised him and cared for him as his own son. Roughly two years later, just as soon as Mohammad became accustomed to living with his grandfather, he died as well, leaving Mohammed as an orphan with no one to care about him. There are many explanations for why Muhammad was given all these rough moments at such an early age, but the Quran says that it was the will of God for Mohammed to undergo all of these hardships at such a young age in order to be able to get accustomed to them, slowly fortifying him and allowing him to reach human perfection. According to the Qoran, one of the main reasons why Mohammed was able to become such a successful prophet in regards to spreading and selling his new religion was because all of these sufferings and hardships he had as a child that strengthened him along his journey. Life of Muhammad the Prophet, The Prophet is Born) There are many other reasons and events that may have shaped Mohammad into a successful prophet later on in his life, but his suffering as a child was truly one of the most important was shaped him into who he became later
